Upvote post or comment. We can be in the same guild, but can’t whisper them? Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense. Also Blizz, while you’re at it, please add a space in whatever current main city to be able to trade items with opposite faction while not in a dungeon.
…I thought we could already do this?
In SL season 4 (when cross-faction first went live) I had “mixed” pugs from both Horde and Alliance in my groups, and we were chatting just fine in party chat
can’t consistently whisper a horde member when you are queuing into a dungeon or raid
Works fine in party chat and / or if you click their name in the chat after they already spoke.
Otherwise? It doesn’t work. If someone is asking for AOTC for a group and you have it for example, you can’t whisper them.
I’m gonna have to disagree with you on this one. I understand the logic behind what you’re saying, but I also don’t feel like it’s necessary. People generally just use whisper when queuing for m+ groups in LFG, to message the leader things that they could have simply put in their description. Most of the time it’s like “4 piece, big dam, trust, GG-EZ”, and it gives off desperation…huge turn off for me. When applicants to my groups direct message me, it kinda makes me not wanna invite them, based soley on that…maybe that’s just me though? IDK Also if it’s progress/achievements you’re trying to whisper, the leads can see all of that with raider io addon.
Agree here. If I am in the same party, I should be able to trade soulbound gear they are eligible for anywhere. I shouldn’t have to whisper them and have them meet me in RLP.
As far as whispering goes, if we finish the dungeon, we should be able to whisper them and trade them for the duration of the 4 hour trade window (assuming we are partied). I don’t however think you should be able to whisper people of the opposite faction you aren’t partied with though.
