Petition Forum - Please remove all content that will muck up Vanilla.
Please List how many accounts you have and if you will deactivate if WoW tokens / cosmetics become available in Classic Vanilla or Classic Plus.

Most players either won’t care enough, or will welcome such things.
If they put in WoW tokens I’ll resub my other four accounts.

I have told myself to quit playing many times over the years and have always come back. The ONLY thing that has made me stick to my guns is the addition of WoW Tokens. I was avidly playing Classic WOTLK until the day they added WoW Tokens, and from that day forward I have not touched Wrath Classic. If they add tokens to Classic Era, I’m out for good - and that will be very sad for me since I love the crap out of Classic Era… but the devs do really seem like they have 0 regards for what it should be…

A key feature of the vanilla wow gold economy was that it was completely isolated/separate from the USD economy.
Yes, there have always been cheaters who purchased gold but it was a rarity.
If they add a WoW token to classic, then they are definitively saying that they care more about selling gold than they do about recreating the vanilla experience or preserving integrity of the game’s economy. Even the most diehard classic fans would leave in droves if they did this.
With that being said, there is still a very real issue of botting that is inflating the gold economy regardless- but that needs to be addressed in a way that doesn’t include the wow token.

Not unsubbing strictly due to tokens/shop but the death by a thousand cuts is real.
Four accounts gone once Wrath is concluded as I’m only staying for my friends and guild at this point.

The token being used in Wrath or DF also lets you play Classic. Its all 1 sub.
You can obtain tokens in either of those locations and use them to keep playing Classic era.
If what you said were true, Era would be a ghost town already. People are ultra vocally against the WoW token… but dont seem willing to put eyes on the fact that its already influencing Classic.
Just because you cant buy one in IF or Org on Era doesnt mean it isnt affecting you.
If anything the wow token being purchaseable for gold in Classic would drive down inflation as the gold supply dwindled. Funny thing is, as it stands, unless the token cost north of 3k gold itd be a profit for the people buying i5 with gold.
My spouse is going to try to pick up a name or two for me. Not sure if we will duo or if I will play much at all.
I’m in chat/discord with my guildies all the time but pretty much just raid logging Wrath.
