With the hide torso and a couple of other things coming, I figured now would be a great time to voice this as I have had so many mogs (and even races) ruined by how large even the smallest shields can be on specs that require you to use shields (specifically as a healer in my case).
Even the smallest shield that I’m wearing right now (seedcloud buckler) is huge on some races like orcs or dwarves and covers more than half the character.
I would love the ability to hide shields or transmog it into something else entirely. Even something like a little gladiator style arm buckler that’s always unsheathed would be awesome.

While I understand that some people may not like shields on casters… You have to think of this from a tank perspective and how awkward that would look.
Your best bet is just find an offhand that’s not a shield.

I would love to never put on a shield on the specs I’m referring to but that’s unfortunately not an option for PvP =/
Would be kinda neat if they could be mogged to off-hand items. Only problem might be with blocking animation looking wonky. But, I’d be OK with some wonkiness.

I petition to hide my weapons. Yes weapons. My warrior will now use fists. My hunter will do the finger gun animation.

I am sorry but this the “give an inch and we want more” Blizzard just gave us the option to hide almost everything but pants which people have been asking ever since hide option became available and already people are asking for more…smh
As a side note it would be hilarious me using my hands as finger guns lol

Maybe the option to hide them just when they are sheathed, so tanks still have a non-weird blocking animation?
I’m excited for the heritage armor on my tauren prot warrior but I know that big totem is going to clip horribly through my shield… being able to hide the shield when weapons are sheathed would be a nice compromise.
Edit:
To expand, I’d love to have a menu of 3 options for both of my weapon slots:
-Sheath on hips
-Sheath on back
-Hide when sheathed
(I guess shields wouldn’t make sense on the hips, so that option would be disabled if a shield is equipped).

I rarely want to mog my shield into something else (although that would be really cool!).
I do find myself wanting to hide it often enough that it would be a great option to have.

We at least need some better options for shield mogs, the only one that makes me happy is the ship’s wheel. Smaller than my character would be great too.
