They already have a name when I tame them since I only tame ones that keep theirs.
Negative Ghostrider. I haven’t done that since I saw a post on General back in vanilla with a NE Rogue complaining about being chased by generically-named pets.

i name mine specifically super corny or horrible names intentionally for this reason
I give them names. Most of them are named after breads.

I named my pets after girls I was dating at the time. Never was motivated enough to change them, so now I have a bunch of dogs named after my exs.

Actually…I’m going to start naming my pets after things we eat off them. Yak is gonna be Milk. Stag will be Venison, pig will be bacon, cat will be Fried Rice, Dog will be Chow Mien, you get the idea.

Oh I love cow pets they are the best they have so many other names besides just dinner.
We got Cheeseburger, Stew, Steak, Roast, and Ribs, or if your feeling lazy just name it BBQ.
