Pet removes player from stealth even though they are out of combat and stealthed

Had this strange little scenario occur the other day and im fine with the result, but just not sure why it happened or how.

I had my pet on attack for the rogue. Hunter enters scene. Pet seduces hunter. Seduce ends. Pet resumes previous action of attack rogue. The rogue has entered stealth, but for w/e reason it doesnt matter…

1st clip is where my pet removes a stealthed player from stealth.

2nd clip is the full combat sequence - maybe someone can figure out how it worked like that and how I could replicate it.

Thoughts??

This happened in Vanilla as well. Stealth has always been glitchy in regards to pets.

ya it was an anomaly , thanks for ur video!.

It happens if the pets are commanded to attack something before it stealths. So like if a rogue is unstealthed, and the pet is commanded to attack it, but the pet takes 5 seconds to get to the rogue, and then the rogue stealths before the pet gets there, the pet still attacks it.
This is because stealth doesn’t drop aggro. If a mob is attacking a rogue and the rogue stealths it does NOT drop aggro (but mobs keep you in combat so you can’t stealth, while pvp doesn’t) . Pet is considered aggro so it doesn’t drop. It’s just how it works. Rogue has to vanish to drop aggro (like in PVE same)

Ah thanks for your response! much appreciated!

If pet is told to kill rogue before stealth takes place, pet will continue to try and kill rogue even if rogue stealths.

Is by design
