So I’m level 30 hunter and I’m using 2 wolves as pets I know they are all basically the same damage wise and I could just wait until 50 and tame whatever I want but I’m looking for a couple cool pets to round off my leveling experience something I can tame at level 30 thanks for any advice
Scalehide. Get one and love it. When you can get Exotics, than get Corehound and Clefthoof. These are all tanky pets that are 2nd to none for questing and soloing open world rare/elites. They have the 10% leech(15% if you take Aspect of the Beast talent at 50. You should.) They also have a ability to reduce damage to go with the heals from leech.

Ya, uh, fun fact about that. Unless they fixed it in today’s patch (haven’t tested, but there’s been no indication that they are aware of it), Ferocity pets are actually leech healing themselves for 28% baseline, and 42% with Aspect of the Beast, rather than 10% and 15% respectively.
I’d recommend taking a look at WoW-Petopia! They have a catalogue of every single pet appearance, the level you can tame it, the location and will make note of anything in particular about this pet or that!
There are a ton of cool, unique or just plain nifty pets out there in Vanilla zones. I personally am very attached to the “mystic/possessed” cat appearances, such as Tabbs (Badlands), Pogeyan (Stranglethorn), Duskcoat (Felwood), Kash (Swamp of Sorrows), etc.
I’d suggest taking a peak, I’m sure you’ll find a handful of appearances that really catch your eye1

I’m relying on the fact that Blizzard swears up and down they don’t read class forums. They’ll probably notice it at some point anyway, I just hope it’s after I’m level 60.

When I realized the absurd healing and leech on Ferocity pets I immediately connected with a tank friend for instant queues and blasted from 30-50 in one day via dungeons. I soloed full dungeons, I soloed dungeon bosses when the rest of my group was dead…yeah man do it up while you can.
People keep asking this but don’t indicate what their opinion of ‘cool’ is. That would really help in giving suggestions as taste is subjective. That said I second the petopia suggestion. Peruse it and you will find something.
