hello everyone I just started a gnome bm hunter for the first time and have only got to lvl 11 at the moment but was wondering what pet or pets will I want to be using with this type of hunter ?

Go tame a druid they best pet for the little cute gnome.
Ghorak is def correct about petopia being an amazing resource. The short answer is spirit beasts for raids/m+, ferocity pets for lvling and open world, and cunning pets for farming old content. It’s more nuanced than that but not much.

Possibly the smaller pets? Porcupines are good Hunter pets. I think there is an exotic variety, the Spectral Porcupines, from Panderia. The regular generic porcupine is easy to find, easy to tame and keep fed, and it’s funny, has an odd attack routine. And, a Gnome can see over it… a tallish Gnome…
Wolves are great because they have Primal Rage and a slow ability that has like a 60% uptime.

You won’t be able to tame exotic pets until level 65 (bfa change 
) but the lists here are still great lists

Until you are level 65 focus on getting pets from the MM/SV list both because you can’t use exotics until you are level 65 and simply, you may want to be a MM or SV hunter some day too. While Marksman doesn’t need pets, survival absolutely must use pets.
