I’ve come back to WoW to check out DF, after a 12 year absence. I’m having fun collecting pets, but my pet battles often get cancelled by a mob wandering into the battle zone. Sometimes I can battle that pet again after killing the mob but sometimes it vanishes, leaving me with damaged pets and I have to look elsewhere for that pet. Not sure if this is working as intended, and the point is to clear out all nearby enemies before starting the pet battle, or if this is a bug or something that needs to be fixed. My last three pet battles in a row have been cancelled this way and it’s kinda putting me off trying further. Anybody have any suggestions or should I put in a bug report or support ticket?

that would be it, it has happened to me a few times too. but pet battles do not work like that, they don’t/shouldn’t be getting interrupted by mobs or anything mid-battle.

It might be your demon that’s agroing the mobs, the player phases into a separate shard when the battle starts, but hunter pets and lock’s demons stay in the open world.

I have been begging for a PB only realm for forever.
I just want to PB. I burned out on PVE years ago.
Blizzard has neglected Pet Battlers since they implemented the feature.
We get pets, but we get no quests, no real pvp, and no exclusive content.
Like I say all the time: Ash Ketchum never has to put up with fighting NPC’s in order to pet battle.
Why should We? We pay Our money too.
I came here to research this same exact thing. I’ve been doing quite a few pet battles in the last few days getting my snails leveled up for the guy in Zaralek Caverns. It doesn’t happen every time but it has happened quite a few times over these last few days. I always use this toon to do pet battles and I’ve always kept my pets out and until the last few days it’s never happened in the middle of the pet battle. It should not be happening!! Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

That is why when I am pet battling I put up my pets aka dismiss them…
