So I want to get into pokem…I mean…pet battling and collecting. I was told there are “easy” ways to get tokens to level up your pet to maximum. I was hoping some people could share some pet knowledge to help me level them up quickly. I understand it does take work and time, but I enjoy learning and seeking others wisdom.
Any and all tips, guides and information is more than appreciated. Have a wonderful day fellow Azerothians! Take care and stay wonderful you beautiful people!
Alts are awesome, you swap to them farm tokens, find a master and buy the boosts. The best thing is that for the newer battler you get to use level one pets and that alone makes the battle easier too.
There are some key one’s I’d aim for like Ikky, Unborn Valkyr, Chrominius. But really all doable with level ones.
When you say use alts I presume people you haven’t done pet battles on yet, or make level 1s to just run to the area to duel then delete and repeat? Not sure where all to go to “duel” to earn these tokens in turn to buy a booster.
Weird I haven’t seen any pet battle dailies pop up anywhere. Do you use an addon that might would help guide me to those locations? I have collectinator, all the things and I think another one, but can’t recall the name of it.
Are you running through leveling through story on alts? The only pop if you are going the alternative route, I named it incorrectly before it’s Threads of Fate. I also use the WoW map tracker to see battle pets but I don’t think that procs them to pop or anything. There is usually a battle up in every zone daily. If you are really into it you can do it on however many alts you have.
Tokens are account bound as well, so they are easy to move around to get all the vendor pets if you have a pokemon problem like I do…
What they mean is they are doing World Quests for Battle Pet currency.
1 WQ for 20 currency is not so much. But thesame WQ repeated x 10 alts is 200 currency. I think its 60? currency to buy a stone on the battle pet vendor that levels them to 25 for you.
XuFu’s is your friend. https://www.wow-petguide.com/
There are some very key add ons that are very handy. Rematch lets you save a team. So, you do a WQ, save a team and the next time you do the WQ it loads the team for you. And it can store notes to help remind you what moves to make. You can pair that with TDScript as well, see the XuFu site for more info.
The other way to level pets easily is wait for a Pet Battle week and either hope one of the good Legion trainers is up or Squirt in the Garrison. Then put on a movie and casually raise a lot of pets.
I’m sure that is enough to start. You may want to swing by the pet battle forum with the same post if this doesnt get moved.
Well I just started on a new realm and just reached 60, but I don’t have hardly any pets that are max level. The few I do aren’t…optimal at all. So I am basically “starting fresh”. Unless you can recommend some “cheap pets” to buy that are decent I can use to try to “power level” through things?
You don’t need max level at all! Use level one pets and the opponents pets are also level 1. Use a pet family weakness chart to find the best level ones to use. It’s literally easy mode, it’s great. I know at the start of the expac when there was not a lot of pet battle info out there I used level ones on a few occasions.
I’d also recommend the Iron Starlette, the Mechanical Panderen Dragonling, and the Anubisath Idol as some additional generally strong and fairly versatile battle pets to have in your stable. And when leveling, be sure to use items sold by vendors that provide buffs to increase the rate of XP gains from pet battling.
Of course, there will always be those odd pet battle dailies or trainers that will require a unique type of pet or pet ability that will require you to hunt one of those down.
You should also check out some fan sites for additional info, some are even solely dedicated to pet battling, that can give you advice for starting up with your stable and provide tips/strategies for the most efficient ways to get going and add to your collection and get them leveled up.
In particular, keep an eye out for Super Squirt Day, which is when Squirt is the pet trainer you battle in your garrison’s battle pet arena (those trainers rotate daily) AND that Squirt day falls within the Pet Battle weekly event (the one that rotates with others, like the time walking dungeon events). Wowhead usually has an article on their website on those dates (there are several of them during the year) along with their guide on most efficiently taking advantage of those special days.
The slightly higher opens up more abilities. At level one it’s pretty much an even field. If you stick to this is weak to ele etc, you will succeed endlessly. Then use those tokens to boost those key 25s and you are set.
