Pet Battle Changes: Flawed Reasoning

Not sure what is unclear. The only thing we do NOT know is if there will be new Battle Pet Trainers to battle for daily/weekly quests. I am sorry you are confused, but everything seems to indicate it is business as usual with a few new twists.

Pay attention to the wording. He says you can collect, not battle, pets. That’s taking away the pet battle component in Midnight. “some” new pets that are capable of battling. Which means most won’t be.

Collecting will be fine but battling is dead for all new content going forward. I’m not the one confused.

Have a great night. I’m not sure this can be explained to you.

In old content. That isn’t being touched. Old content not being removed isn’t the issue. You’re the one not getting it.

They both get it, they’re just trolling at this point.

Yes, the term “iterate” is so open for interpretation and has several references to its meaning. Has left me reading the statement over and over trying to make simple sense of what is meant.
Staying unsubbed and non Midnight purchased till I can see if the Battlepet system does indeed carry on to new things or a slow death.

Pfft expecting players to read AND comprehend things? How naive. :grinning:

I would engage with pet battles SO MUCH MORE with 2 very, very simple changes:

  1. Give me the ability to create and name a thousand different pet teams that I can switch-to with a single button click. This is by FAR the main thing that keeps me from engaging with PvE pet battles at a high level.

  2. Let me see the [HONK HONK] breeds of the [HONK HONK] pets, and the possible breeds in the [HONK HONK] game. …sorry about the goose, he gets rowdy. But it SUCKS having to go to WoWhead and figure out what breed the pet is I’m trying to capture among which possible breeds it can be found in.

The Rematch add-on has the functionality of #1. The Pet Breed ID add-on has the functionality of #2.

There are no new trainers.

Sure. Those functionalities need to be baseline.

It would be nice, but as long as those add-ons still function, I’d prefer Blizzard use dev time they have devoted to pets to increasing replayability, since that will lead to the engagement metric they are citing as the most important factor in their decision making.
