Pest control

This is completely off topic but figured I would try here

after living in this apartment for 16 years I’ve finally started seeing roaches (gross). I’ve been looking for non toxic ways to get rid of them i.e no chemicals and I’ve seen things like lemons and backing soda kills them but I was wondering what are some very effective methods to dealing with this w/o having to call an exterminator.

thx

Aside from roach gel,you can use boric acid to remove em.

Glue boards.

Find what’s attracting them. Move your fridge, stove, dishwasher, etc. to see if there’s any rotting food or whatever behind them. Then put some over-the-counter roach control in your cabinets, behind those appliances and other out of site areas.

You’re not going to get rid of a creature that can survive nuclear fallout with “non toxic” alternatives.

Unfortunately your best options really are chemical. A bug bomb should take care of the problem.

Though, what Tovi said was spot on. If something is attracting the bugs, like a messy neighbor, then they will just come back.
