Pessimistic about TWW

So far, my personal feeling about TWW:

Pros:

  • Warband, everything is accountwide (the biggest pros in the expansion)
  • Flying from start (same as DF)
  • No borrowed power grinding (same as DF)

OK:

  • Game art and music (same level as usual)
  • Questline and Lore (same level as usual)

Cons:

  • Profession (as bad as DF)
  • Dungeons are pretty meh, not too bad, but nothing exciting
  • Delves don’t seem exciting or fun so far
  • Lack of new format of endgame PvE/PvP contents. M+ as an endgame PvE format is getting old and dying. (meh current dungeons + recycled old dungeons) M+ community and activity is getting smaller and smaller.

So far, the only meaningful change in TWW is Warband. Everything else is the same as DF.

It is very bold for Blizzard to announce the expansion trilogy. But TWW doesn’t seem exciting so far.

At this moment, I am more interested in the Nov/Dec 20th anniversary event and pessimistic about TWW.

It just sounds like you don’t like this game anymore. Perhaps its time for a break.

And that’s an interesting statement…because that is exactly what delves are.

We’re also getting the new solo queue rbg content/format.

My biggest issue so far. The only way I might possibly start to enjoy them is if they go full torghast/remix and start giving us crazy powers.

Yes, and no. I wouldn’t call delves a new format of endgame pve content. For me, it is the same as MOP scenario or DF dig with a differnt name.

i am not sure why you are complaining about professions , this is what the community wanted .
the dungeons are actually well made to my opinion.
Delves are indifferent but well made for the crowd who is interested.
the endgame is also fine , and i don’t understand why you need a change for the sake of a change . the recipe is nice and we are always open to new things , but i wouldn’t call the endgame loop bad. all in all , copying the DF mechanics and gearing is pretty nice and alt friendly , together with the warband

Remember who you’re talking to… the OP who ranted about " It is Time to Ban WoW Addons.

Yes, all WoW addons shall be banned. But that is another topic irrelevant to this thread.

How far have you gotten in Delves? Some of the Hallowfall and AK ones are really really good. The first few are okay. I’m really hoping the new difficulty levels make them harder and more fun!

Of course not everything is, critical progression currencies are still soulbound, until ALL currencies and drops are Warband this is still not as ‘alt friendly’ as Blizzard want us to believe.

Well, still, Warband is more alt friendly than the game has ever been.

Source please.

11.2 million keys were completed in S4 Dragonflight alone.

I have to say I’ve mixed feelings about TWW. While overall I’ll say that the delves and the vault for open world folks is a nice addition, it’s also a negative for me.

I realize that with the limited time I have to play, I can either play the game as I always have, ignoring the endgame or do the hamster wheel of gearing.

It makes the game feel very — meta. The game feels like the last two seasons of DF to me, which is good for gearing alts, etc. but bad for overall feel of the game if you like to do quests, etc.

Took me a while to figure out why I was having so much trouble figuring out what to play every time I log in. I’m not looking at the story, I’m looking at the gear instead.

There is tons to do from my point of view, it’s just that the feel of the game is very off and hard to really get into the story.

Still have to wait until Tuesday to really know… but DF/SLs S1 Week 1 both had around 3.2 million keys completed. At this point people will have to run 2.4 million over the weekend to hit that. So far we’ve been averaging around 350K a day so we’ll need a big uptick

M+ has been a dying content for years. There is no way they can be saved or turned around.
