You are entitled to your opinion … but if that’s the best you got. I wouldn’t hold your breath.
Let me just give you an example of how PL didn’t stop guilds from controlling loot, like they claim. Lets say you have 2 melee who both need the trinket off of generals, one is a trial and one is core. If the trial is able to trade the trinket, he is expected to give it to the core player. In the event he decides to keep the trinket, he will be looking for a new raid. If he is unable to trade the trinket he won’t be brought to the fight, this applies to any high priority item in the raids. Also, because of the item level requirement to trade items, it greatly disincentivizes giving people with low item levels a chance. So unless you are super geared, or have a great resume to get invited to a guild, they don’t even give you the time of day anymore.
Oh I agree all of the above happens. People are all about loot, even though they love to try and convince others they aren’t. But you aren’t making any sort of case for bringing back a regularly abused system. Sure people are still terrible human beings, but having PL as the only loot system, limits the damage they can do.
I am trying to tell you that ML was solely removed to kill split runs, they had already addressed most if not all of the abuses with past changes. And I don’t think controlling loot in your guild makes you a horrible human being, if you are doing it properly it could net you faster kills.
That’s how Master Looter worked in Legion.
Of course, all throughout Legion, people kept complaining about how all the pug runs were using Master Looter, still. Which was all lies, of course. But that never stopped them.
If done properly they say communism is pretty grand. In practice, both ML and communism leave much to be desired.
Well in this analogy, they essentially replaced “communism” with “socialism”, both of which are horridly flawed systems.
Of course, since there were no problems at all during Legion with loot ML should still be here.
For you and yours. It’s flawed. It serves the game as a whole better than ML ever did.
This xpac has the worst loot. Its like trying to get excited about going to Goodwill to buy a used pair of socks.
If you are yours means anyone who plays the game and cares about progressing their character, I agree.
Most people that play the game never step foot in a raid, let alone hit max level.
So why not restrict ML to raid guilds? If the vast majority of people won’t be affected by it.
So why not remove trading from the game period.? No trading, no problems.
I could honestly see them doing that, careful what you wish for.
The loot restrictions are the compromise. I can see it too, wouldn’t bother me a bit.
There has been no compromise, the loot changes were a railroad to benefit the casual base of WoW.
Its was more about fighting RMT’s and loot funneling, casuals dont really raid
There won’t be any compromise. Not sure if you noticed anything about Blizzard but they don’t compromise.
I think that the best solution is just lift the stupid trade restriction based on ilevel that we have now
