Since the 11.1 patch dropped Shadowform has been behaving strangely, curious if anyone else is experiencing these issues:
- It isn’t possible to disable Shadowform with the stance bar button (the buff has to be right clicked to remove it.)
- If I log out while in Shadowform, when I log back in I’ll have the gaseous purple shadows coming off of me even when Shadowform is turned off. The effect persists when I switch to Holy or Discipline as well, and only disappears when logging off in a healing spec and logging back in.
Number 2 is extra weird because I have Glyph of Shadow applied, so I shouldn’t even be seeing those extra shadow effects in the first place. The glyph functions as normal until I log out, then the issue repeats.

Yeah it has been acting weird. Shadow form also doesn’t allow me to use the barber chair and bugs it out.
I posted something similar the other day and in the bug report. You can turn it off by right clicking the shadow form square in the upper right corner or typing in the cast/ shadowform thing . I hope they fix this soon.
Regarding Glyph of Shadow, something new to the patch, or at least to me, is that it no longer works with the new Campsite feature. Anyone else experiencing this?

Yup, i turn into a purple fart cloud monster on the camp screen as well.
Thanks for the follow-up. Hope they revert the code back to how it worked prior to the campsite update and don’t consider this to be a new feature.
I thought it was a feature actually, because you only turn shadowform when your character is selected and flying…
I wonder if this is visible to other players like that
imagine going on a regular BG as Disc in shadowform and the zugs tunnel-visioning you wondering why you don’t die.

Pretty sure everyone has it. You have to right click the Shadowform buff on the top right of your screen.
I’ve been asking for years now to just remove shadowform as a mandatory toggle and instead just turn it into an optional spell you can cast on yourself kind of like how visage works.

Also experiencing this bug, had reported the Shadowform not disabling properly already, but as of the other day I now noticed that I also have the shadowy effects regardless if I’m in shadow form or not, have tried swapping specs, and even dying but the shadow swirlies remain at about shoulder height. Good to know I’d have to swap specs then log to ‘fix’ it.

Yeah, same issue. Lucky it can just be right-clicked off, so it’s a serviceable work around, but obviously it shouldn’t be doing this.

For me. I had Glyph of Shadow applied. Got some vanishing dust and removed it. The effect was still there. Went to the barber and changed my appearance. Effect is now gone… we’ll see if it stays gone.
Update: It may just be a fluke from yesterday, but remain hopeful that the change that happened some months ago regarding shadow form and the Campsite loading screens have been reverted back so that shadow form no longer appears in the Campsite login screen. Well, at least when Glyph of Shadow active. If this isn’t just a fluke, I thank whomever over at Bliz updated the code!
This was also happening to me. I would log out, not in Shadowform, and yet when I logged in, I would have just the smokey particle effect around my character. I think it has something to do with the way the Warband character selection screen forces the character into Shadowform when selected. I moved the character down in order out of the Warband, and so far, this has solved the problem.

Can confirm, I stopped using the warband screen and haven’t had this issue at all
