Ever since race changing a character to Zandalari on 03/12/2019 I have been receiving the following error when logging onto characters and/or after task managering out of the game because it’s hanging during portals or inducing monstrous lag after changes to settings or zone changes:
This application has encountered a critical error:
ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal exception!
Program: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft_retail_\Wow.exe
ProcessID: 7860
Exception: ACCESS_VIOLATION
The instruction at “0x00007ffe22aef7be” referenced memory at “0x00000000000000a0”,
The memory could not be “read”.
Press OK to terminate the application.
I have tried the following fixes:
- Completely uninstalling/reinstalling the game.
- Running the repair tool.
- Completely uninstalling/reinstalling graphics drivers.
- Turning off Windows 10’s Xbox-related game recording software and overlay.
- Deleting Cache/Interface/WTF folders (seems to help temporarily but since this resets video and sound settings and changing those causes game to lag out to the point of having to task manager out this is not a permanent fix).
- Selective startup.
Game will sometimes launch/run after a full reboot of the game and computer but unclear why. Unable to log onto Zandalari character at all at this point though have periodically been able to get onto one other character, though having to task manager out of the game repeatedly any time I enter/leave an instance or attempt to use Hearthstone is making them impossible to play as well.
Please help? Completely out of ideas on what to do since have attempted all full reinstalls and updates and game has simply stopped working since patch/race change (error only started occurring after processing race change, was working after 3/12 initial patch).
