I’ve put in a request to permanently delete this account. There was no box to say why I wanted this done. Is there an e-mail address to send the reason to. It used to be gm@blizzard.com or something like that.
Just so the record can show who is responsible for the permanent loss of a customer.
To permanently delete an account, you must contact Billing and submit a specific request to do that.
Permanently deleting an account totally and irreversibly removes any and all information related to the account. It becomes as if the account never existed. Everything is gone, permanently, cannot be restored or recovered in any manner.
I hate to be the one to tell you this but you individually is a drop in a very big bucket. You leaving won’t reflect on anyone in Blizz. That’s just you leaving for your own personal offenses. You and 1000 other people leaving, that reflects on someone.
Well wouldn’t that be you, after all you are the one seeking the account deletion? Perhaps you are just a day late and this was meant to be a “Sunday” post or you are just living up to your character name.
I’ve been an advocate of “immortalizing” accounts. Before you would do something like that, get something in its place that would be permanent, and I tell you something else:
If the rumors were true, we have about 4 years left before Retail comes to an end(as far as content goes). It might be the case that we might not even get to keep our accounts if they’ve been inactive for too long. Not trying to talk crazy, but even if we wanted to keep our accounts, there’s a possibility in a time not much later from now that we might not.
