Lol. Some of us earn high 6 figure incomes and are over 50. Not going to spend hours of my life grinding to get things when it is mere chump change and legal. Perhaps you need a hug son.
Again I just I want this genre to always improve and continually grow, I don’t think it’s at all healthy for the game to have highly networked groups with vested financial interests take root and be welcomed into the corporate fold.
Is this a game for people to play or is it a platform for people to make money off the people trying to play?
I guess we’ll have to wait and see what types of new content get added in 10.0 before we can really gauge it any further.
A good example is professions, it could easily be changed to be something a lot more interactive and engaging, but a good portion of the econ community and most likely multiboxers, botters would throw a fit because they want it to be as “dumb” as possible so it’s easier to do.
I just find it hard to argue from a gameplay perspective that point click crafting is more enjoyable than having a manual crafting minigame that could result in higher ilv or tertiary stats on craft.
“This is how things have been done, we’ve figured out how to monetize things this way, so we’re going to keep doing it this way.”
Looks back at the many years where people said exactly that about mboxing farmers. While Multiboxing wasnt banned, it was certainly stopped where automated processes were concerned.
Quote from Blizzard: “Multiboxing, or playing multiple World of Warcraft accounts at once, is not a violation of our Terms of Use. Please note, however, that use of input broadcasting software may result in account penalties.” Obviously you CAN Mbox, as long as you dont use ibs.
Maybe it isn’t, though it may be possible to reduce it. Admittedly, its a player-created situation because if there were no buyers there would be no sellers.
Only thing Blizzard can do is stop the spamming, but this would only lead to sales from third party sites. If they just made a channel you had to join for this kind of thing there really wouldn’t be anything for anyone to complain about anymore.
There will always be demand. Blizzard has even created more demand in my opinion.
They seem to be getting faster and faster about banning these level 1 “we’re a local group of friends, trust us!” boosting advertisers, because sometimes during an epic BGs session I’ll report a few of these level 1 booster ads as the trade chat is waterfalling (while standing around in Oribos) and maybe 45-50 minutes later I’ll get the little “thank you for reporting!” message mini-icon pop up on the upper-right section of the screen.
I’m assuming said “level 1” carnival barkers either got banned or silenced, probably banned since silence is automated/instant. In any case, the turn-around on these booster reports seems to be getting faster and faster, which is nice.
I started playing late - it doesn’t take that long - even if you only play a 1-2 hours a day once you hit 60 you should be finished the campaign in a week. To take a month would mean only play maybe 4 hours a week and even then faster players would complete it in half that time.
Had a 2500IO rogue with 4pc doing 3k dps the other day so yeah kinda sucks, they may have been lagging though you can never tell if they bought their way to victory or not ~~
for example some will rant on getting rank in pvp. LFG can be light on this for free groups. there is a basis to pug non guild pvp being kind of barren at times.
Meanwhile in my guilded chars guilds…there is at least 1 scheduled rgb night (and times even). I just miss all these guild runs…sigh.
Wow, you’re still upset about Friendship Moose which happened back during HFC? The most recent example you could find? Why, do you think they cut into your guild’s carry sales?
Didn’t you hear? That person can’t find groups to play with. It has to be that the overwhelming majority of players are whales who buy boosts as their gameplay. Can’t be that participation is down because people are getting bored with the game and either quit or raid log.
I can’t see why I can’t play for my 10 year old nephew’s basketball team. Boosting is fine after all, and I bet he would win a lot more and have a better time with a 40 year old ringer who can actually reach the hoop carrying him to victory.
Oh, does winning matches for him sound stupid and against the spirit of the game? Huh, so weird?
