Permanent method to change character’s racial appearance

I would really like to see a feature that allows us to change our character’s racial appearance permanently (and be changed whenever we choose).

The issue mainly is that sometimes people want variety with their character’s appearance whether it be for a new mog or role playing purposes without having to pay for a race change.

Also many people play specific races for the performance racials and do not want to change their character’s race, they merely want a different appearance.

Gleeful Glamour consumables allow this but have a 2 hour cool-down when the longest possible duration is 1 hour.

If the gleeful glamour cool-down was removed, that would be perfectly fine because I would just buy like 10-12 gleeful glamour scrolls per day or for however long I play.

This would also assist the community who wants to see all classes for all races.

Yes it can be a lot of work to make new paladin mounts and shaman totems but this would at least give everyone the option to appear as a different race even if the race/class restrictions do not allow it.

This is contradictory

Well if you read the whole post, you would know that my complaint with Gleeful Glamour is that it has a duration of one hour but a two hour cool-down.

I am asking for an appearance change method that can be used 24/7.

By permanently, I mean that the appearance will stay until we decide to change it.

Definition of permanent: something that lasts a VERY LONG TIME or forever.

Hopefully my citation of that widely-known definition of permanent will clear up this issue you had.

Hope you enjoy your day.

Why would Blizzard do this when they can instead make money on race and faction changes?

Because, if you had read my whole post, you would know that not all races can be all classes.

So, just to give you an example, since you aren’t familiar with this concept: a shaman cannot be a human, a druid cannot be a panda, a paladin cannot be a Vulpera, etc.

There are other examples that I’d be happy to provide for you should you communicate your desire to learn more about this topic.

Have a lovely day

And for good reason, because it’s stupid to have some class/race combos.

I read your whole post, but it’s intentional that not every race can be every class.

So why would Blizzard give up an easy stream of revenue? What would you suggest to replace this revenue stream? They’re a business first and foremost, they’re not going to just let us change our race at the drop of a hat because some Worgen DK on the forums is bored when they could make money off an automated service.

On purpose. Because they don’t want you transforming your character permanently.

Just like toys.

If you want to be another race, then race change. If that class isn’t available, pick a different race or… tough luck.

Blizz isn’t going to allow perma race changes so you can keep different racials and they lose revenue.

This forum post would disagree with you on that:

Blizzard is going to allow free race changes in the barbershop.

I am merely asking to allow any class to change their racial appearance to any other race.

Do you not remember the blizzard Facebook post that shows a gnome going into the barbershop and leaving as a Tauren?

Pure speculation, and pretty bad speculation too.

Do you remember the holiday post that showed a sleigh flying over places that weren’t Orgrimmar and Ironforge and the forums were convinced we’d be getting a sleigh mount for Winter’s Veil?

If they were planning on removing race and faction changes they would make an actual blue post about it and not some one off social media post for engagement.

You are reading waaaaay to much into that.

Remember when this happened?

You mean the made up scenario that doesn’t exist because people misunderstood the funny video?

They aren’t.

Yeah we ended up getting a free transport to the Greench for the daily.

So blizzard gave us a sleigh riding video and we got a sleigh transport to the Greench.

What else would blizzard give us by showing us that we can walk into a barbershop as a gnome and leave as a Tauren?

So what was the purpose of the video, then? Blizzard doesn’t just create trailers for no reason.

Do you work for blizzard?

Have a lovely day!

It was something silly.

they offer race-changes in the shop.

It’s just an amusing little video about how a haircut can make you feel. Confidence in a Cut. Never heard of that before?

This was Blizzard’s fun take on that. We’ve seen similar meme videos in the past about haircuts in commercials and movies.

They make videos for funsies.

No one needs to work for Blizz to comprehend a meme video.

It’s called a meme. As Sendryn stated above.

Ok please give me another recent example of a meme video posted by blizzard.

Don’t say the sleigh mount because I’ve explained that we were given a sleigh transport to the Greench daily.

Do you have any other examples of blizzard making videos for no purpose other than a meme?

We werent given a sleigh mount.

Yes we were given a sleigh mount that transported us to the Greench daily.

Ok when was the last time that blizzard made a video just to “be silly”?

Don’t say night elf Mohawk because we were given night elf Mohawk grenades in game. That was an advertisement for the toy, not just a meme.
