Calm down lol
It’s a simple option for the people that would make use of it. That wouldn’t effect the people who don’t want it.
We have an arachnophobia filter ffs.
Some people hate sky riding, housing, mythic plus, etc.
Should blizzard not “bend to the will” of the people who make use of those options?
Practice basic self control, you can do eet
Honestly the OCD thing is why blizzard gives people the escape hatch of character recovery.
Players might think they want that and clear house and then realize they made a mistake.
At that point they would just quit the game.

I wish they’d up this. I have 2 deleted level 50’s I will NEVER EVER restore. 1 is Earthen, and 1 is a Mecha Gnome.
Those races are horrific and ugly and I will NEVER want those toons back
I don’t. I’ve already restored three level 50s I wanted back after a year.
at one time, characters deleted had timers on it before it’s gone forever
I guess I just see level 50’s as ditched toons. They could give people warning and time to get them restored and leveled say 10 more levels if they wish to keep.
The fact we can have unlimited deleted characters, but have a cap makes absolutely no sense to me. I’m at 64/65 toons. But the since they’re all 70+ I can easily just delete to store and have more, so why not just let me have more? It does NOT make sense.
Our “delete” should also have a cap, and then have to perma-delete to get back server space, or just let us have however many toons we want

Itd a very simple request with real game utility. Yes not eveeyone cares but we should be able to permanently delete characters. Hell have it go through both in game and e mail confirmation. (In case your wife deleted your toons without your consent). I am sure there are enough ways to guarantee YOU really want rhat character gone
And if a character delevels due to new scaling, they get grandfathered in 
I still have my wrath/cata ogs I deleted a long time ago I can undelete.
Actually undeleted my main lock from 12 years ago and migrated her and she became my lock main again.
Probably as a protection against hackers.
I would affect the people that don’t want it. Someone has to take the time to develop said system. Which takes time away from other projects. And it could effect someone with children that don’t understand the concept of permenance.
You could say that for the plethora of other pointless things we have, like the arachnophobia filter.
And teaching your kids reality sould take priority over a game they shouldn’t be playing anyway lol
