Permanent Burning Crusade Classic

haha ur crazy wrath is when the game was most popular back in 2009 and also had the most raids logged in classic. u can thank the wow token for decline of players

Because the raids were brain dead easy and people were running with 3 alts doesn’t make more popular. And the narrative that WotLK was the most popular in the past is wrong too. Population continued to grow till Dragonsoul then the decline happened.

i just said wrath classic had the most raid logs. obviously the start of vanilla was the most popular time of classic. but ur incorrect about 2009 numbers. as soon as cata launched the numbers started dropping

Wrath was always very popular and if they did faithful Wotlk era servers they would definitely be popular too , many many people want this , the main reason for the decline in classic Wotlk was 1. They messed with the game waaaay too much with alpha beta gamma whatever dungeons 2. A lot of people just wanted normal dungeon finder like they knew from back in the day and most importantly 3. People quit because they didn’t know if they were going to get era and didn’t want to waste their time on characters they couldn’t keep , this is the reason I stopped playing Wotlk classic , I was having a great time but ultimately didn’t want to continue if I couldn’t keep my characters in Wotlk , it’s just not a good use of my time if I can’t revisit my characters period , many people just never ever want to play cataclysm and beyond again

You pretty much nailed it. An authentic Wrath Era server has a lot of potential. But with all their changes, the Classic team ruined Wrath. It played much more like Retail with an emphasis on e-sport design and toxic sweatlords just drove away the normal players.

Blizzard stop being silent please let us know if you are planning to give us Permanent TBC and/or Wrath Era servers.

People are not playing anniversary because of the huge time sink if you just call it a day at the end of TBC or maybe Wrath…

More people quit because of the forced 6 months in the garbage raid that was Ulduar than any of the other changes combined. Outside of ICC WotLK is forgettable.

You don’t like it and that’s fine , many people really do , myself included , I never understand why people come to the forums to say they don’t want to play some version of the game , your whole argument is “well I don’t like it so you shouldn’t be able to play it” I don’t know or care about what version of the game you like but I think you should be able to play it if you want to

It’s not at all. I love classic. I just can see signs and don’t like lying to myself.

I love classic too , I like classic era more than TBC and Wotlk , all I’m advocating for is them to make one pve and one pvp era server for each so people can play them if they want to , not everyone’s life schedule perfectly fits with these one year fresh release cycles and most people can’t keep up , I like to be able to revisit my classic characters in era whenever I want and play with the levels and items I earned , it’s the only reason I stay subbed to this game

I didn’t even make it to Ulduar, I think did 1-2 PTR raids with my guild and I went yeah nah, I’m good.

Bro I loved wrath more than any bloody expansion before or since. It just had the best. Best leveling grind. I loved leveling all the way from 1-80 in wrath. Best story and villain in my op. Best class designs to. Best raids and dungeons. With some duds of course like oculus. I wasn’t a fan of that very first fight in ulduar, and I wasn’t very high on ICC. And PVP was also really good. But it was nice to just get together with the boyz and have a raid night even though you were maxxed out.

But it’s all opinion but wrath was when I saw more people than ever playing. And I quite frankly had all of my friends playing also.

And if you wanted bc or vanilla content. Cap your levels at 70 or 60 and do that content. It just had the best of every world to me. Blizzard has removed all of the old 1-60 content. It no longer feels like an rpg at all anymore in retail. I just loved how this expansion was set up. I don’t really care what anyone says at this point. They can dislike classic wrath and original wrath. But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be allowed to have a permanent wrath era server for those who did like it though.

Paladins especially were out of the kaay oh ken stuff and went super sayan in wrath. To me though all the classes played pretty flawlessly in wrath. Just my op though. But paladins and dks were like the best classes this expansion.

I am always gonna miss shadow of death talent though as well as the turning into a ghoul thing they had in unholy though.

We still would like some clarity here. Just tell us one way or another.

This is what we’re all looking for… Blizzard why are you still silent on this topic?

You put your thumb at the most delicate spot here. I almost did not play Wrath Classic edition because it was not, and because Cata was announced.

TBC fresh when

Yah in my op, a permanent wrath classic era server with no dungeon finder, no paid level boosts and no wow tokens, would do quite nicely.

Then it would NOT be like original Wrath :frowning:

I don’t think it needs to be exactly word for word like original wrath though. I don’t think I would care if they added a dungeon finder. I just want a permanent era wrath classic server. And I am not playing classic until that happens.
