PERMADEATH Your Toon Dies It Stays Dead Forever!

Yes indeed. Some people have been complaining that Wow has become way to easy to play. That they are no longer feeling as if the game is giving them a real challenge and that because of the carebear mentality of the devs. Wow has become a boring cakewalk to play.

So. I have a possible solution for these people that desire a much greater challenge than what they feel the game is providing them with.

I suggest that Wow should incorporate character Permadeath. Yes once enabled in a patch, anytime your character is killed in game. There is no spawning at a cemetery. Nope.
And no nimby-pambi running to your corpse. Nope. Your character died and they stay dead. The game will automatically delete a dead character. Period.

So, Now people will have a very real challenge to keep them on their toes. I think that will make challenge seekers very happy.

And if that isn’t enough. Lets also add full open world PVP with no consent required. Oh yeah! Now wouldn’t that be exciting! If you see another survivor player, ā€œGet ready to Rumble!ā€ …Or ā€œRUN!ā€

Oh just think of that feeling of dread, just before you click on the ā€œLoginā€ Tab! Now, yes! You have a challenge!

Edit: Lets make it even more challenging! You know, for those Super Elite Hardcore players. No Auction House. None. You want something like a potion, piece of armor, or a weapon. You gotta make it yourself. Yes crafting will have a huge comeback.
Mobs will no longer drop gold. Think of it, why would a bear or rabbit be running around with bags of money. Silly right.

No NPC shops to buy from either. You become persona non grata. All NPCs everywhere hate you, and will chase you and attack you on sight. Oh dear, I forgot to mention that there will also be Groups of Roaming NPC Bounty Hunters. And Hidden NPC Rogue Assassins out looking for you.

No loot drops. The only reason to fight mobs is just to stay alive. And to get raw materials for crafting: Like bones, skins, meat for cooking. Oh yeah if you don’t stop to eat food eventually you will starve to death. And carry that canteen trooper you need to keep your body hydrated, or you will eventually die. You craft whatever you can to survive.

Edit: Wait, wait. What are some of you saying? I’m I hearing you right? You are saying none of this is Hard Enough for you? Oh ok… How about lets add this:

A new Player Warlock Class called the Necromancer. If you see a player Necromancer ā€œJust Run!ā€ because if the Necromancer kills you. They will bring you back from death as their Mindless Zombie Servant. And you will be forced to fight as a NPC minion for the Necromancer. But not to worry too much. You can easily spot a Necromancer from a distance because they will have a small army of Zombie minions following them around. The Necromancer will not have a limit to the number of minions they can have.

But again be cautious. You really don’t want your character to be converted to a zombie and be left to just watch (Spectator Mode) your character shambling behind a Necromancer for all eternity.

Well, with some of the people I have played with in this game, that would be over before you knew it lol.

Nobody wants this, I guarantee you. There are so many ways you can unavoidably die, especially in instanced content.

I was going to say. That is inevitable. One player refuses to learn mechanics, bam your toon is dead lol. Account locked. Everything done for life. That would not be good.

Like oh hey guys. I died. All because a hunter refused to turn off his taunt on his pet, and his aspect of the pack.

Like if you are going to attempt this. Never group with people. Someone will get you killed and dead forever in a group setting with the OP suggestion.

Perma death isn’t a good kind of difficulty. If your net cuts out then it’s over.

Now that would be an extreme world first mythic race

People already do this on streams. Except they rarely group with people, gee I wonder why that is…

Well wouldn’t that be a real challenge! Imagine the skill a player would be able to brag about! Just Imagine it!

You could shout to the world ā€œI out of 10 million dead player characters have survived Wow! I still have my main character alive!ā€

Hardcore has a place in games. I sometimes dabble in hardcore diablo 2 just for giggles, and i have 2 old school runescape hardcore accs. I’m not sure how it’d work in wow beyond the solo leveling experience. Mostly because dying in wow is common in group settings. That being said, i think it’d be cool to have a hardcore option that rates how far you got before your first death, and after death assumes your character is a normal one. Could see some interesting things like, road to razsageth, or trying to get keystone master without dying.

I am glad people here do not design video games. Like for real

I die once then unsub and never come back, I’m not starting over multiple times. Actually I take that back, I would just unsub the day I heard about it and never come back.

I would not be surprised at all.

This nonsense has been ā€˜suggested’ before by other trolls. Back when trolls had some semblance of pride in their craft.

It was a terrible idea back then, and it is still a terrible idea now.

Man the quality of trolls has SERIOULSY taken a nosedive…
