Even all of naxx can be run on a single set of world buffs, we did it in classic all the time. Buffs aren’t hard to get, they drop with relative frequency and most raiding guilds will even drop them on a schedule making it easy for their members to get them. So no, you don’t need permanent buffs to fix a problem which is often a result of people not being able to watch a threat meter.
You have two easy options if your struggling with buffs
Quit being stupid and dying, dying is expensive both because you lose all your consumes and second you lose your buffs, also while not all deaths are avoidable, many are, and are caused by people zugging in before tanks get agro, or being in the wrong stance during some encounters.
Join a guild, many good raiding guilds not only drop buffs, they also have buff trains to get you around the world.
The 2 classic andys in forums saying that sod IS bad? No one of those points that OP said are in sod what are you smoking LOL… people playing sod are loving sod.
In sod we can kill world bosses and play the dps/tank you want to play, you won’t be denied.
how is that impressive when most of them are gdkps and “classic” era was the main concept of an official vanilla server? thats just a pserver numbers.
SoD doesn’t have gdkps and doesn’t have tokens for buying game time like cata.
theres a lot of people playing fresh because its the TBC waiting room, and tbc is the best expansion from classic wow.
60k raiders in a seasonal server that no one knows what will happens with our characters is a signal that we enjoy SoD and we don’t care if our progress is lost and moved to retail, we are playing for fun and giving feedback of bad and good things for a classic + if that thing happens someday, that was the main purpose of SoD.
WoW has 5 versions of the game and every version is being updated except era. its imposible to keep the people in only 1 version of the game.
so, with 10k raider vs 60k sod is still less popular? 10k raiders, how many gdkpers and how many alters? Sadly they announced that fresh servers are moving to TBC, if they don’t, fresh should be a ghostown like era right now.
you have no clue of what are you talking about, SoD is a seasonal test server not a final product, Thats why its called SEASON of discovery.
I know you’ve never made it passed the log check for a gdkp, but you actually do exactly the same thing in a gdkp that you do in one of your ms os pugs.
Clearly I meant fresh, the version of vanilla currently being played.
GDKP’ers are exactly the same as other raiders, thats a dumb thing to say, and I would bet a lot of money that the most alt friendly version of classic(SoD) has more alts than era raiding at the moment.
TBC will be less popular than fresh, just like it was less popular the first time around.
Cataclysm with the old world still intact isn’t exactly groundbreaking
