Been stuck on waiting for this thing to “update” for a half hour now. Just going in an endless loop of saying it’s updating but doesn’t actually do anything. Have already restarted my PC and tried to pause/restart the update process but nothing is working. Need this fixed ASAP bc this is kind of embarrassing.

I’ve also been stuck on initializing for the past 30 minutes as well.

It won’t even let me uninstall.

I uninstalled the game and now it is stuck on initializing for the install.

Yup, same thing. Logged out to go grab some grub, returned to to a spinning wheel at 0% initializing… initializing for what? Oh well, can usually bypass by opening the WoW.exe, but that isn’t working ATM either. Clicked it… and just nothing.

yea same thing here spent all day in the Emergency room and came home to my game as broken as I am. any updates would sooth my mind.

Yeah, mine is stuck as well. I was able to do an update for classic WoW, but not retail. 
I restarted my computer, shut down battlenet through the task manager, uninstalled bnet, reinstalled and nothing is working.

It appears there are a few threads now about this issue so its for sure something on blizzard’s end and not anything to do with our end. Hopefully they figure it out soon

Seems when I go through the loophole thing of going to the location of where the .exe is and I enter my info … phone authenticator won’t work, I apparently have to use the keychain one … which I haven’t the faintest idea where I put that. 
was able to bypass by opening in explorer, and the opening the application folder inside. had to manually put in my info again but it worked and im up.
I cannot even use the loophole, wont even load .exe for me. Prolly just wait and see.
I’m having this issue on Mac (making this issue cross-platform?) and the Mac equivalent of this is not working.
I am having the same problem and I’ve been trying to get it to work for over an hour. I’ve restarted my computer twice. I’ve scanned and repaired twice. I have successfully updated all the other battle.net games I had installed. I’ve paused and started the update and restarted the client who knows how many times. I’ve explicitly closed the client and ended the battle.net updater tasks in the task manager. So far nothing has worked.
You hit the “Enter code manually” link and you don’t get an authentication number to enter?
So here is my night.
Get home, 3000 person queue on OW. I sit through it. I get in! Prompted for a phone #, then prompted to restart the game, now I’m back in a 3000 person queue. I sit it again. Then before I can play a game, my computer crashed. I reboot. Like I can’t sit another 3000 person queue. Let’s play WoW. Stuck 0% updating.
might be time to call it a night and watch some tv lol
