Why can’t they make the items much more difficult to obtain and let us defeat one of Mardivas’ creations once a day? The fact that it’s gated behind at least 13 weeks is quite annoying.

those achievements are designed to be done when the expansion is current and going back for 13 weeks wasn’t a problem. If you do them 3 expansions later then you already have them easier to do.
13 weeks is 13 weeks, doesn’t pertain to difficulty.
yes but other parts of the mega achievement are easier because you can solo them - that is why this part appears slow. Doing them when content was current required groups and often the rares weren’t even up so there was long waits to find them up.
4 years is also excessive

This multi-week grind is a part of one of Ion’s Anti-flight hissyfits where he punishes the players before giving us flight back, so enjoy some anti-player game design left as a legacy to one man’s ego.

It isn’t. I did the 13 weeks necessary to complete this achievement, as did most everyone else, and we had to do it when rares were harder to solo compared to now. It’s unfair to those who worked to earn this achievement when the content was current to ask that it become even easier to do now than it is already.
Just do the 13 weeks. It’ll probably take you even longer to find all the rares necessary for the mega achievement anyways.
You can only buy the vendor map once per week.

Basically you are capped at 3 per week assuming you do the weekly Niffen rep quest which…most won’t bother doing due to how dead ZC is and how laborious it is. So realistically you’re capped at 2 per week. Which means most people will require up to 25 weeks to complete it.
