Perfect Classes for Gnomes

Not saying I will, but I may be considering making a single gnome alt. What class would fit the race the absolute best? My thought was hunter in a way, because I at the very least know they start out able to tame mechanicals, and engineering can craft guns (I think some with gnomish design?). But I’m open to those who are more knowledgable of the race giving advice

If I was forced to play Gnome, it would be Mage.
Gnome Mages are just classic.

The ones that don’t feel are for gnomes are the Monk and Death knight-- those feel far more pandaren and human/forsaken. :robot::thought_balloon:

I kinda figured those were off the table. I know hunter isn’t an original class they had, but with some cinematics and youtube channels having animations of them with rifles similar to the one from Operation: Mechagon dungeon, I thought hunter might fit the race. Zapping enemies with a rifle while commanding a mechanical beast in combat. I just don’t know much about gnomes to really properly think of “fitting” classes

I just know that if I decide to make a gnome, I want them to be an engineer. Feels only fitting

Mage or Hunter, for the Mechanical Pets. You can also get some laser guns from Mechagon and Operation: Mechagon that go very nicely with the Mecha-Gnome Heritage. My Mech-gnome is a hunter for that reason.

I did the robo bunny from Dun Morogh as her pets, and named them after some guildies lol

Oh, my thoughts were a regular gnome. I don’t have anything against the Mechagnomes, I just feel, if I made one, gnome has a bit more visual customization when it comes to transmogs (since mechagnomes kinda have mechanical arms and legs)

Laser gun and Mechanical Pets still work great with OG Gnomes. OG Gnome Heritage is pretty cool too, I really like it.

Don’t make a warrior and thank me later. It’s not fun to have to jump to charge things that you “can’t see”

Mimiron also made a gun/bow that was heavily gnomish themed. It was the perfect way to release gnomes becoming hunters. :gun::robot:

I have the hidden appearance unlocked, actually. and most of the recolors and second appearance recolors for the base rifle (missing the final recolor for the second appearance that you get from completing “This Side Up”)

Also, soundling like hunter might be my best option here. XD

Machinist?

Although it is kinda funny we offer the weapons, weren’t certain on outfits. :tshirt::robot:

…I can’t offer fashion advice because of obvious reasons on my main. :mechanical_arm::robot:

heritage armor for gnomes seems it could fit them anyways. XD

Step Stools 101.
Advanced Ladder Climbing 206.

Or just any goggles would be enough to make a goblin or gnome outfit. :wrench::robot:

Well, I guess hunter is gonna be the class I go with if I make a gnome. Since it provides the most options to go just full mechanical on stuff. Gnomish rifle, mechanical pet, engineering

I plan on making a Gnome Hunter alt for the Tinker aesthetic. Someday. Eventually… I really don’t like Gnomes, but the collector in my head is screaming to get the Heritage set.

Demonology Warlock fits the most imo.

Gnomes are small and tiny. It makes sense they’d be power hungry and have giant demon bodyguards to make up for their own physical limitations

I have a list! Here you go:

  • Mage
  • Priest
  • Warlock
  • Rogue
  • Druid
  • Monk
  • Demon Hunter
  • Hunter
  • Evoker
  • Shaman
  • Death Knight
  • Paladin
  • Warrior
  • Any other that gets introduced ever

(All gnomes are perfect)

Remix is the perfect time to power level one. Then once the character converts to retail at the end of the event you can do the heritage.

Probably the best time to spend the least amount of time on the character if you don’t like the race.
