Perception

Does blizzard plan on doing anything with perception on anniversary realms or just leave a blatantly broken racial?

I don’t know if you realize this, or care, but perception completely and utterly negates an entire classes main ability. No one would argue a racial that removed a paladin bubble would be balanced. No one would argue a racial that dispelled all buffs off a target would be balanced. No one would argue a racial that prevents a druid from shapeshifting or a warrior from changing stances would be balanced. No one would argue a racial that provided shadowstep would be balanced…etc

And yet, you expect us to think that a racial for each and every class that happens to be human can and does negate a core fundamental ability of a rogue, is?

There are plenty of engineering goggles or such items that help detect a rogue. Plenty of abilities like paranoia. Does the entire human race need a racial that not only helps detect rogues but in fact almost guarantees that the rogue will lose the opening? That is a HUGE disadvantage to rogues.

I only mention rogues because while druids do have stealth they also have a ton of other tools and stealth is not at the very core of their class.

I know people like to compare this to hardiness, the orc racial, but I don’t see how you can compare the two. One provides a +15% stun resist which yes does suck when stuns are resisted and it is strong but it does not lockdown an entire classes primary ability. Or WOTF, again another strong racial but fear can be easily recast or another person can fear directly afterwards. Its a great racial, powerful, but it doesn’t compare to being able to, again, negate an entire classes primary ability.

The only real proof you need is the past evidence. People reroll into humans for arena for a a reason and that reason is perception. It’s wildly out of balance and everyone knows it. The people who argue against changing it just want their IWIN button against rogues and I get it. People hate rogues. The people who play them tend to be the people who like to grief and gank and have fun doing WPVP and that angers people and creates a bias against the class. They see any nerf as a good nerf. I get the mentality, but come on… you can’t be that obtuse.

Wasn’t this exact post just posted, but on a different character?

NO blizzard isnt going to be doing any “balance changes” in a re release …

Uh… but they already have changed things. So… you’re state is patently false.

what balance changes have they made ??? outside of buffing honor for pre patch ???

Yea cuz orc and wotf are all balanced

im okay with perception being nerf in exchanged for hardiness being lowered to .05%, will of the forsaken should also only remove 1 random curse effect, also belf silence should target 1 random person

If rogues weren’t so absolutely busted this racial would be worthless

you ever fight an orc???Orc basically resists like 50% of stuns

its crazy he hasnt responded again …

its 99% for those trying to stun an orc and 1% for the orc trying to resist stuns.

anyways i dont feel one bit bad for rogues in this and hope they get seen over and over as i think stealth is 1 of the most broken mechanics ever to be introduced in gaming and makes people act like absolute jerkmobiles.

so no. you get no changes and you will like it.

Well, there is dual spec, no more gdkp, changes to boosting which effects gold making which translates directly into power in WoW. So while they might not have changed any classes that I know of, doesn’t mean they haven’t changed the balance. Some classes will be a lot harder to gear if they can’t pay for gear. Like the classes that serve no real role in PvE.

Again, I’ll say it slower and maybe you’ll give me a reason you think those two skills are unbalanced in the same capacity as perception instead of just your opinion, those two racials do not actively negate an entire classes primary ability. Stealth makes rogues what rogues are and EVERY SINGLE CLASS that happens to be human has a counter to their opening on a 3 min CD in an arena where they can see the rogue from across the room. Whats the point of stealth if you just give the most played race in the game the ability to negate it? It makes no logical sense.

Sounds like your simply unreasonable and highly likely the product of a spoiled upbringing. You obviously have no idea how to achieve balance and lack the imagination it would take to think of new ideals. Unless your acting stupid on purpose and in that case, i don’t get the joke, i’m sorry. Otherwise, shhhhh at least one adult is talking.

Rogues are good in TBC arena. But there is a reason why people who take PvP super cereal reroll into humans strictly for perception because its an blatantly broken ability. Anyone who can think outside their own biases sees it clearly. I know I’ll never convince forum goers unless they want to be convinced because they all are think being stubborn and argumentative just for the sake of being so makes them, cool? Edgy? Whatever it is they believe they are being.

All the time. Resists suck. I understand. But no, its not 50% of the time. More like 20% of the time or 1/5th. Sometimes I don’t get a single resist from an orc for several fights in a row. Other times I get 3-4 resists in one fight. Luck sucks sometimes. Highly different and has absolutely no relatability to the discussion.

I see your logic is based on emotional damage suffered at the hands of rogues and not based in logic or reasoning of the abilities themselves. So, your point is moot and even if it wasn’t it isn’t a good point. I remember back when hunters looted everything and were seen as the universal jerks of wow. Should we given a race the ability to forcefully unsummon their pets or disarm their ranged weapon from a distance of 40 yards just because the bad hunter bullied me?

No. That is dumb. I don’t expect much from people on the forums, been a long time since I’ve even been on here, glad to see things haven’t changed.

I do have kids and a life. I don’t sit here and watch the forums 24 hours just waiting for someone to reply… what is wrong with you?

nobody cares about Rogue tears in PVP, not even other Rogues

Thank you for the completely meaningly statement. Do you have anything constructive to add to the discussion?

I don’t get it how does that stop you from opening lock boxes?

Oh like cloak of shadows does?

How about this. We give every race perception. Then it’ll be really balanced.

None of these things are gonna matter to anyone posting on the forums anyways

If you think CoS does that, then divine protection does as well, right?

Lol. Nice.

Then are we going to give every class a mass dispel to remove paladin bubbles?

Do you realize that perception prevents a rogue from even vanishing? Its so strong you it completely negates a 3 minute CD ability.

only if it is on all the time and working at 300% effectiveness.
