Most players will dip into Fresh, take a good look at the bunch of unviable classes/specs and the unemployed-level of grind required, then nope out of it and maybe come back to SoD or quit.
Fresh will not keep many players, but may dilute the pops of Era and SoD. We may end up with bare bones pop on each mode of WoW Vanilla.

Yes, it is. Misery is the very reason for this post. If it didn’t bother you, then you wouldn’t post. You and others like you also need to get over your self importance. People play what they want to play, when they play it. We don’t sit here going “Oh woe is me. What ever shall I do about this vexation cast before me? Multiple versions of WoW? Whatever shall I do?! Oh woe is me!!!” People play what they want when they want. You have SoD, guess what I don’t play? SoD, I also don’t play retai. I raid log in Cata, and the rest is Classic.
You can take away Classic and I won’t magically play that dumpster fire that is SoD, and I won’t go back to retail. I’ll continue to raid log in Cata until MoP and do other things with my time. People won’t magically play with you if they have less versions of the game. They’ll play their version of the game or go elsewhere. We aren’t going to play with you regardless of how many versions you take from us.
If you only play balance, sure, traditional classic will probably be a disappointment to you. Druids probably have the most viable spec options out of all the hybrids though. Also, the addition of dual spec means that it will be way more enjoyable to flex from Feral to Resto for me.

You make a self important post knocking people who play Classic and how it “dilutes” the experience of SoD because of too many versions. If we’re diluting the pop and it impacts your precious SoD then yes, you are talking about how no one is playing with you due to “Mah diluted population”
It’s about the health of population of every Vanilla server, it’s written there. Go touch grass to relax until you can read properly again.
And I’m telling you, the health of the game as a whole hinges on what people want to play, when they want to play it. You take what they want to play away and they’ll stop playing, not magically jump into SoD. Can you comprehend that?
