There are 50 Suv hunters in Mythic raid, 50…FIFTY Compared to MM that has 18k. LOL Nice balance Blizz.

It’s a melee spec in a raid environment that has very little room for melee specs, and one of its ranged competitor specs is a top performer in the raid. Not exactly a shocking outcome.
This is the same problem faced by enhance and feral. Their damage output is perfectly fine, and they bring the exact same utilities as their ranged counterparts. The highest tiers of PvE content just favor ranged by a significant margin.

They’ll always be bad because it’s a bad spec and a poorly designed one. It never should have existed in the first place.

This week I got impressed by the struggle I got from a Survival Hunter, he killed me pretty fast. I liked it.

what they need to do is make more anti ranged mechanics that are random and unpredictable but do have tells so you can avoid them. Also tax dots so that there is a maximum number of dots allowed . Damage over time should be like casters or ranged answer to off target damage or sustain damage similar to melee strikes.
I’m going to be making a survival hunter here shortly what race do you reckon is good at it? I’m thinking of the new tauren race.
I mained survival in BFA its my favorite spec by far. Ill level her soon, I just needed a good rated bg toon first.
Check how many of them are necro.
All 3 mage spec All 3 warlock specs and All 3 hunter spec used to be ranged with only the rogue class being melee of the 12 pure dps specs on 3 where melee then they add survival now 4 the problem doesn’t lie with hunter it lies with the 2 hero class being melee classes and priest have 2 healing spec when they should be opposite of warrior and have 2 ranged dps specs.
They could make it the best hunter spec by a country mile and I’ll still never play it.

It won’t. Blizzard forced this on us, then abandoned it. The ones you saw doing well were low lvl. @60 they are trash.

I do well I’m not trash the spec isn’t trash I’m sorry your favorite spec the 4th warlock spec got changed to be more unique and your sour about it but move on things change because change is something done out of necessity . If nothing ever changed we wouldn’t be where we are now we would even be talking about wow. The only thing that doesn’t change is war and war never changes.

I played Survival Hunter exclusively for over a decade, until it was deleted.
This current abomination is nothing but a melee BM clone. It can do okay but it’ll always be a joke of a spec for the vast majority of us whom lost the spec we loved.

I’ve seen one survival Hunter since SL launch. For the longest time I thought Blizzard had deleted the spec.
