There is, but doesn’t mean it ain’t warranted… they’re writers for one of the largest game developers, they’re in the spotlight and if they can’t handle “angry fans” they should find another line of work.
And you think being angry will somehow make the game any better.

Honestly, I’m just bored. But I do love myself a debate.
I’d liken it more to a firing squad, personally.
Honestly, as far as consuming a storyline goes, I think SL trounces Vanilla, TBC, and Wrath, especially Vanilla and TBC. Wrath had some great stand-out quest chains, but in terms of the questing experience and how they deliver the story, the game’s been a lot better since Cataclysm.
I will say that I feel the threat of the Lich King and Northrend as a whole felt like a stronger villain. Even Yogg-Saron and the quest chains leading up to Storm Peaks were awesome, but compared to the production quality we’ve had since Cata? I wouldn’t trade what we have now to go back to the older means of delivering story.
If enough people are angry and make a big enough fuss… yes, you seen how they finally gave us trees back. Until they prove otherwise, they deserve all the negative press… ball is in their court, prove us wrong and sink the shot.

This tree isn’t the same tree from the early game just so you know.
Did you just not do anything during these expansions? Because this is demonstrably untrue.
Attunements by themselves have a more coherent story to them than the entirety of the SL main arc.

It’s all subjective of course, but my brain cannot comprehend what they said. Like, it simply cannot register any of that as being true.
Them liking it is subjective, but claiming the storytelling is superior, now that’s something we can measure more or less objectively.
There’s a reason Tolkien’s work has stood the test of time, after all.

WOTLK is the goat, but what story in Vanilla? Yes as bad as SL is… it is better than vanilla imho.

In the sense that it wraps up the dumpster fire we’ve been watching unfold for 2 years, you would be correct. Anything to get us moving forward at this point.
Really, calling me dense you can compare the two the original talent tree and compare it to dragonflight talent tree they are not the same nor does it look like it.
