No AOTC players want to join your group and carry you especially when you look like a poser
Oh this old chestnut.
If the group is 95% aotc, that’s better than most groups. I’ll form it well, you play well. If you get in anyway
I have aotc and same with my mate. But the raider io addon says we havent done it. If you’re referring to the addon they could be having the same issue.
Although, I do agree. I hate carrying people and leave as soon as I find out someones getting carried.
Look I’m just taking up a slot that otherwise goes to yet another seller ad that tries to word itself cleverly to avoid being slapped down by moderation. If I happen to get a group from people who feel like joking around for an hour or so, fine by me.
To be fair.
I joined an AOTC only group. The leader had AOTC. But they were also <10% gray parsed on every pull.
Having AOTC doesn’t mean diddly in terms of measuring the capability of an individual because you can grab the lowest performers from every AOTC raid and put them together and even though they seen the boss die before, they won’t be able to kill it without making some major improvements.
“big pumpers only”
- 7/8h 399 sub 40k party lead
so it really is all about mogs at the end of the day.
well ill be damned.
Remember the three rules:
- AotC only in title. Has no AotC.
- High ILVL in title but not the system. Does not have that ILVL.
- Pumpers only in title. Lives under the bottom of the meters.
lmao.
I got AOTC back in Legion, even got the mount to prove it, but never got the achievement. Since then I stopped caring.
Typical behavior of those that think they are smarter than everyone else lol. This is another toxic dinosaur that the game allows.
Because eventually you get a full group of players who don’t check if the leader has AOTC, but all it takes is one person to call it out and the group disbands rather fast.
And chances are these AOTC players joining pug groups were all carried anyway, without a leader who knows what is going on and players who were 90% dead for the fight, these groups don’t last long.
Best is to find a community or guild and do it the old fashioned way.
Great idea for a guild name.
“AOTC Only”
I mean honestly if this person is going to the trouble to put together a true AOTC group I don’t even care about 7/8 40K.
Kick your add, stand in right spot, and we cool.
Honestly, this is why I don’t bother making groups.
Here’s the big secret nobody is gonna tell you:
All pugs are always coinflips at the end of the day.
Next time you see AOTC/One Shot/Slow Fill group ads, check and see how many of them have been active for 2+ hours. It’ll be more than you think. Join a guild for consistency, but if you can’t raid on a schedule then you gotta accept every group is a gamble.
A good CEO hires people who are smarter than they are in their area of expertise. Maybe no one wants to join your AOTC hippie collective.
I try to filter my groups as much as possible to have people who know the fight, but sadly these days I’m assuming some have been carried through Razsageth or something. Had a hunter join my reclear group on Wednesday, they linked achieve and had a 415 ilvl (this was normal mind you, so that was a REALLY good ilvl). They died to breath, got brezzed, and didn’t kick their orb. After that I whispered them just asking if they were having an off night or something, and they replied “Nah, my friends just didn’t explain the fight and let me die and stay dead.”
I was appalled. If you’re gonna apply to a reclear, solo, and don’t know the fight, I’m sorry but you need to go. I even do learning parties on my alt to teach the raid to people in my free time, but this was ridiculous. I politely whispered them that they weren’t what we were looking for, and kicked them. Got pms about how I suck and I’m an elitist, yada yada. Just hit that ignore button and moved on. It’s sad how many people are unwilling to learn and just think it’s ok to die and do mediocre.
(Editors note; I am just saying this about people who join re-clear parties. If you’re in a learning party and making mistakes it’s ok. Learning is part of the game and we all struggle with certain things. Just do not look for a carry from random reclear parties.)
is aotc even out yet?
Armory for WOW is broke, and thus Raider IO can’t pull correct data
