People of WoW... What do you do?

Artist.

I have a show this weekend. Whole town is open for an “art walk.” Should be a lot of folks coming through.

Oh yes. I worked retail and learned to get the heck out of that industry as fast as possible. Management treated me like crap no matter how good my work ethic was. One HR person even prevented me from getting full financial aid by not providing me with my final pay stub and company letterhead stating the date and reason I left (corporate even gave me the run around, said to go through her). I was super close to a small claims court lawsuit, but my grades were slipping so I chose academics over focusing on getting $16k…

Retail taught me that most people don’t have your best interest in mind, especially not HR.

I work in tech support.
Some parts are fun, some parts are dull, some parts make me wonder how someone is intelligent enough acquire enough money to afford a $3,000 computer and yet doesn’t know where the “any” key is.

All in all, it’s not bad. The pay is decent, the hours are fine, commute is actually amazing for me. < 2 miles.

The only part I hate, and this is a really really tiny part of the job, are people calling in with connection issues. Virus, no problem, they listen and we get it fixed. Bug with a program? No problem, they listen and we get it fixed. Crazy one-off issue that requires 4 hours of digging through system files and other stuffs, no problem. They listen and we get it fixed… eventually. But oh my lord you have a problem with the internets and suddenly everyone is an expert and it can’t possibly be my wifi/router/modem/ISP. >.<

But again, really tiny part of my job, I get that kind of stuff like once a month maybe.

I have no idea why, but Artist totally fits you.

And I don’t know you.

Residential drywall contractor

I’m physically (and somewhat mentally) disabled, don’t have the ability to drive and it’s too dangerous to walk anywhere… so I kinda just sit here and play WoW.

I take care of the cats to my best abilities, but lately I’ve been feeling so run down that the apartment is a mess and I’ve just been changing out food/water for the cats.

I do art sometimes, but it’s difficult due to arm injuries.

One day at a time!

Wake up, appreciate the little things that’ll come your way (however small!), and know that there are people who love you for you!

Currently, I’m retired, but I was a government biology researcher and university biology teacher before that.

Retired use to work as a food process engineer now studying metaphysics.

I’m the guy that post " this product changed my life" on everything.

Oh by the way this post changed my life.

I did my degree in Chemistry but I am a truck driver now. I get more money as a truckie then I did as a Chemist.

Isn’t that the job where you have to actually pay your boss?

My job is better: the object of adoration for three dogs; a Basset, an American Bulldog, and a German Shepard/Jack Russel Terrier/coyote mix. I’m kidding about the coyote part. I think.

I’m a mechanical engineer for a commercial refrigeration company on the side.
