Give it time. A lot of people are accustomed to retail facilitating exactly this kind of gameplay. Some people have not adjusted yet. Our first 1-60 grind will probably have a lot of this, but I expect it to die down as people adjust or ragequit.
As I level I see more CC, mages/warlocks better managing their health and safety, and people generally playing a little better.
