People have stopped logging in

It's only been 2-1/2 months and already my guild is dead during the day time and non-weekends.

People don't feel like playing much outside of raid time. What did Blizzard do wrong with BfA that got people to stop caring so much?

This is not new. People raid logged for BWL. People raid Logged for SSC. People raid logged for ICC and Ulduar. Raiders raid log. That's how wow works.
It's common for people to chew thru the new content in 2-3 months then be bored and unsub until next xpac or major patch.

Unfortunately, even faster this time, as outside of some pretty scenery horde-side zones, the xpac is really boring and classes were gutted and no class progression 110-120 leaves a lot of us unimpressed.

lets not forget shadow, ele, enh, feral and potentially more specs are broken. Things that aren't broken feel awful because of the GCD changes. Why keep playing when you have been nerfed 3 expansions in a row with pruning.
Blizz gutted all classes in game making them all feel pretty hollow, they got rid of our artifact weapons and the cool lore surrounding them for a horrible new system with no new lore and more rng than ever before, they have even worse order hall missions this time round, world quest give worse rewards most of the time, the new dungeons are too long which makes people not want to grind them, pvp is a horrible mess right now, and I think that about sums it up.
You don't find it natural after the incredible rush to get raid ready, then go,go,go that players want to take a breather over the weekends now?

Cause people only ever log into raid
That's what happens when they put out a trash expansion. Most people move on to better things.

This happened as a consequence of giving SO much class identity in Legion.
If you turn warmode on in boralas. You might be able to find 10 or so people. If you turn it off, you might be able to find 25.

Our main city is heavily depopulated. The faction imbalances are getting so insane most people I know who are alliance are just leaving to play horde to quitting.
BfA is just an extension of Legion. People are feeling the burnout as it's more of the same thing we've had for the past two years.
Same with my guild.
flying right about now would make it a little more bearable.

Some of this is true for our guild, though not all of it.

As for the 2 1/2 months, Almost half of our monthly active players are in college. So, they haven't been logging in because Mid-Terms and classes are ramping up in difficulty.

I can agree with the not playing much outside of raid time. I find it difficult to keep myself entertained when I've cleared raiding for the week. Though, I'm looking into trying Mythics again.

Along with that, some of our guild mates have left to go after more challenging things. Some of those were more active than others but to each their own.

That's just our guild. You can't place a blanket statement out like that it's the expansion alone.
Look at BfA honestly...

What else do you have to do, that you didn't just do for 2-3 years in Legion already?

World quests, Rep grinds, more world quests, Atrifact Po... I mean, Azewrong, More World quests, "World PvP(HAHAHAHAHA)" that gives strictly PvE rewards, A World Quest, Mission tables from WoD, More Rep grinds, 2 more World quests and being a PvP dev getting carried by cheaters through RBG's...

Are you going to suggest they start playing battle pets too?

'coz most seem to think they will solve everyone's problems and keep them logging in for 2 more years.
I am in the game a lot but that’s because it takes me signing up to 20 groups before I get into a plus 10 keystone :).

Apart from that I work on alts and some questing and raids of course.
"daytime and non weekends" so....normal working hours?

During the day... people work, go to school, go outside in the fresh autumn air...

Maybe people just don't play one single game every single day of their lives and that since they've covered much of the BfA expeirence, they've moved on to some other things that they enjoy doing, all without feeling that WoW has somehow failed them in some way.

Does it not get exhausting constantly being on the look out for some new thing to complain about?

GCD feedback was ignored, Warfronts and Island Expeditions are boring, Warmode is boring, World Content is now outdated and numerous other issues.

Stop trying to equate BFA to Classic, TBC, and WOTLK FFS. They are nothing alike and it is disingenuous to suggest otherwise.
