It has nothing to do with trying to make it better ,Belluar and Asmengold just want views for that youtube revenue and made the decision hating the game makes people click on their videos. Blizzard needs to take real criticisms of the game in to account like Preach gaming. People here use their same talking points as asmengold and bellular and not actually their real opinion. Unfortunately you don’t see Preach’s videos much because the youtube algorithm only feeds what’s negative about the game or trying make up drama.
That’s not true and even though “content creators” definitely have a motivation to make “negative” videos with clickbait-y titles and thumbnails, I really don’t think any person, streamer, pleb, YouTube personality, mythic raider, WQ casual, or otherwise, hates the game just for hate’s sake.
I know a lot of people aren’t fans of any of those people above mentioned, but if you actually listen to what they are saying it’s easy to see that they love WoW and are incredibly frustrated and/or disheartened. Some more than others for sure.
So if you’re upset that your favorite streamer isn’t the Blizzard shill they used to be, you can either consider what they are saying or you can simply unsubscribe and remove their content from your feed. It’s really as simple as that.
Everyone, even streamers, has the prerogative to change their mind at any time, especially when things around them change.
Edit: It is indisputable that some people are worse at expressing criticism than others and it isn’t always constructive.
I don’t see Preach videos because I saw his idiotic rant about how LFR is awful for the game and everything should be elite and exclusive. This was back during MoP I think.
Don’t really care what he has to say about anything after that.
Streamers who don’t play gnomes aren’t even on my radar. HazelNuttyGames, though, she’s a wholesome soul and I now care about her as a person, not just a WoW personality!
I said people should listen to Preach videos and he is defiantly not a shill for valid criticisms, don’t know how you came to that conclusion.
At no point in my post did I put words in your mouth. I merely spoke my piece.
The “you” in my post is for “you” the reader, not specifically “you” the OP. Hope that clarifies.
sadly gamers as consumers are the worst kind. if we don’t like a product then we wholeheartedly hate it and we make sure that we scream our hate. you don’t see this with other products. if you don’t like guinness beer you drink another beer but no, gamers love to hate, we are the karens of the digital market
SL can be criticized and I agree with the criticisms against SL. However, Bellular and Asmon are just outrage merchants, everything has to be tin foil hat now with them now. I think people are way more cynical now because the content they are fed through these two. They still play retail and no one questions that, if the game sucks now why haven’t they stop making content for wow or stopped playing all together. Unfortunately, no matter what Blizzard does now, even if they made content to everyone’s liking on the fourms, most people will still listen to the outrage merchants because they are the loudest people in the room, to still hate it.
I don’t even watch streamers but I have seen a few of her helpful vids and I like her a lot. Does she even have bad videos? She seems so upbeat and positive.
Not really, they are just reflecting what quite a large portion if the player base is feeling.
I much prefer marcelian online for content, and even they made a video about the state of things, which they never do.
And those of us with actual criticisms don’t hate the game, we just know how much better it could be had some decisions not been made, some things not implemented, some resources used elsewhere.
It all stems from passion, unfortunately so many of these forum heroes don’t acknowledge that and just shill/white knight for the sake of it.
I think her personality lends a lot to her content, in one of her last few weekly videos she mentioned a few criticisms but I think her delivery is a lot more refined, I think she generally sticks to a script or notes, and her opinion she gives is usually tempered and not fueled by emotion. As far as I know she is a lovely person.
Her pet battle videos have always been a big help for me. She has a clear, concise way of laying info out.
if WoW wasn’t a subscription based game then I’d agree with complaints about the complaining, but the reality is that blizzard has a store that sells in-game gold and mounts ect, sells expansions for 40-70 dollars about every 2-3 years and still charges people 15 dollars a month. I believe that gives people the right to complain and demand a higher standard to a product when blizzard has so many ways to make money off people in the game.
Make fires so others will check out the smoke.
lmao.
One comes to mind is her review of the Lexip joystick mouse. I’ve taken a look at it after viewing Rags’s response to that video.
Agreed. She is my favorite WoW YouTuber
Or they dedicate last almost 20 year to the game and game went to trash they can be mad it is normal reaction
I personally haven’t found any, and whenever there is something she doesn’t particularly like, she just says that “it’s not for her”, and that’s it.
if people hate the game there are reasons why.
why do you think when the game was in its prime back in BC and wotlk it was universally praised and played by 10m+ players?
people love the game if its good. people hate the game if its bad.
its common sense
I love how people complain about a cash shop that’s completely optional and doesn’t effect your gameplay. It’s either they are too poor to afford it or they are taught that capitalism is bad.
Not what I’m saying at all, it’s not that game is not deserving of criticism it’s just that the echo chamber here thinks their opinion is right above all else.
