I haven’t even played Midnight yet, what’s with the people complaining about the leveling? Leveling is practically the core of WoW, yet I’ve seen numerous posts about how boring it is.
Questing is where the story is, do people seriously play WoW SPECIFICALLY to grind out the same dungeons and raids over and over each day and week? That sounds so egregiously dull.
Edit: So I’ve been seeing people talk about how it’s been boring for 20 years, and how they’re falling asleep while doing the latest expansion.
With that I just have to ask, what are you playing WoW for then? Leveling is half the game, if you hate half the game, why are you still playing?

Yeah pretty much your 20 years late to this realization.

Competitive players complain about it every expansion.

Leveling in WOW has always been a boring experience.
Now just throw in Veilguard level lore and story-telling…
This is why ONLY END-GAME really matters anymore.
Edit: Woot, I got my post count back!

leveling hasnt been anything but a chore since early wow when that was the game. at this point leveling is just something you do the first time to learn the story see the zones and such and then on alts you dungeon spam or whatever is the quickest way to level. dungeons raids pvp delves and farming for transmog these are the main things that keep people playing. you could remove leveling and nothing would change. we would still go zone to zone finishing the story until we finish the campaign on the first toon and then do what ever is the fastest for alts.

Yes.
I have 70 characters @ level 80
I have forever hated questing. This toon is level 82 right now and I am falling asleep, hating every minute of this tedious “kill X/talk to Y” borefest

Some people feel that way. Not everyone does.

Yea, some people also believe the world is flat and that heaven exists too.
I’m stating what I KNOW… your neutral deflections aren’t wanted or needed.

na its just the competitive karens that just want to be level capped and grind stupid mythics and raids all day and be done in a week, this has happened every expansion as far i as i can remember. The best part of a new expansion is literally getting to level and go through the new zones, dungeons actually feel fun because its not just a boss loot grind etc. Just grinding end game with no other progression gets old so fast just never understood peoples obbsession with nothing but loot grinds 24/7.

I love it man, it’s refreshing each new xpack. After the first time however I dislike it. It’s usually my favorite part of each new xpack anymore. Thankfully wpvp is popping off so it’s extra fun.
There are people that don’t like the core of WoW. I don’t know what’s wrong with them, lol.

Totally agree. I wouldn’t play without the leveling.

Levelling is alright the first time because my main focus is finishing the levelling campaign.
My main is 83 atm and I’m already reconsidering how many alts I actually want to level and play.

You get pretty far even if you just do mainline campaign.
wow’s mechanics make levels redundant. it’s all in the rep grind and renown grind now.
Is it, though?
I mean, yeah, it used to be. But with how utterly abandoned the process has become, how Blizzard’s only answer to improving the experience is to make it go faster, and how we keep getting our abilities taken away and then repackaged and pretended that they’re new…
At the very least, the leveling process from the sunsetting expansion to the new one at this point serves pretty much exclusively as a game-wide reset on everyone’s endgame power level, with a handful of new passives tacked onto the process solely out of a sense of obligation that something has to actually pop up when we gain levels to pretend they still matter.
Leveling used to be one of my favorite parts of the game. But anymore there’s no sense of any accomplishment or real forward progression to it.
I don’t know. This game’s old, and I’m getting old, too.

It looks like an hour per level or faster, so that’s like 2 days max, I’m really happy about this, all my alts will actually get levelled
I’m going to take my time and strech it out over the weekend 3 levels a day or so.
Did Silvermoon and Eversong Woods, now up to Harandar.

Yeah. Some do. I suspect most of the end-gamers. But there are still those around who value it. Me, for one.
I was having fun until I had to do this Den of Nalorakk which has taken 40 minutes and now the final boss is bugged. This has sapped all desire to level out of me.
