People exploiting to stay online

I see a lot of people sitting around main cities / inns AFK somehow staying in game. I’ve heard of people using macros that occasionally jump or whisper someone in game to make it seem as if they aren’t idle. These people are queuing up early in the morning, going t o work, and coming home with zero wait time.

Thanks for the idea

I have no issue with them doing those things. It’s not exploiting. I’ve been in que for like 3 or 4 hours now and the fact is if Actiblizzard wouldn’t have fumbled this so bad, people wouldn’t be doing it.

some people are better gamers than others obviously.

Honestly, I don’t even care that they are doing that. Who wants to sit in a 6+ hour queue?

But then you’re at risk of being disconnected.

You’re like the guy that waits until the last moment to hit the ramp to exit the expressway because the exit is backed up from people waiting until the last moment to hit the ramp to exit the expressway.

Good job.

Seriously can’t even be mad at them with 8 hour que times that’s the only way ull be able to play

Because selfishness is a running meme in the Classic community. :+1: Get with the program!

If you could push a button and jump ahead in the que, would you?

I doubt anyone online is willing to log off out of the kindness of their heart so someone else can play when they know they’ll be in a que that lasts all night.

If blizzard wouldn’t have screwed up, they would be a non-issue.

I just did.

Logged in, waited an hour in the queue, worked on something else, arrived in IF, looked around “27 people in IF tonight”, and logged off. I wasn’t on 5 minutes.

Just wanted to see how things were going. I have other things to do. If I get in later, groovy.

i mean, all they could really do is shorten the time it takes for someone to be kicked offline in order to fix people from doing this. At the end of the day there will always be selfish people and we can’t really stop it ya know?

Only an hour?

So you waited over an hour to just log in and then log off?

You can use a virtual desktop from your mobile device, and move or jump your character every few minutes. It’s not cheating because you are physically controlling the character by manually moving or jumping it.

I’m not playing till Thursday, so I’m not doing this. Technically it’s not against the TOS though.

It’s what you would call a pro gamer move.

Blizzard should have put a cap on how long you could play before being forcibly logged out.

Yeah I’m curious how I can apply this type of thinking to real life situations…

WHAT?

Horrible idea. The only way that flies is if they change your sub to be 30 days of PLAYED time.
