Can’t even find a guild without interview with raid leader in discord, smh. I’m too antisocial for that
In retail you kinda just join a guild with RT that suits you and lets go as long as you have decent ilvl and it’s not some high end mythic raiding guild.
I guess that’s because of all those loot systems, inability to bring pugs, raids not flexible etc etc, even though bosses in classic are a joke.

Which people? Just continue finding a Guild that suits you.

Everyone says all these bosses are a joke yet 1/2 the guilds on servers are consistently getting bodied at firemaw/chromag. The whole point of vetting your members is to prevent drama and ensure everyone you recruit isn’t becoming someone the raid has to carry. Where as in retail normal and heroic are pugable so it really doesn’t matter unless you are pushing mythic.

at this point i feel like there’s simply no guild on my server with RT i need
Must be time to start soloing those raids.
IK you said you’re anti-social but being a part of raids means being somewhat social. Create your own guild.
it really isn’t, atleast in retail as long as you don’t fail mechanics.
You have to be social in working with your Team. It’ll take you longer to find that “perfect” Guild, if you’re unwillingly to take the initiative to lead one.
I disagree. It is really easy to get into a raiding guild in classic. Many guilds need people and you just ask for an invite and are in.
Now I don’t know how things are in retail now but when I was running my guild in wotlk/Cata we required an app with logs attached and a full trial. The first step was we would check your performance in a 5 man heroic and go from there. At this time, most raiding guilds were doing this.
Classic guild recruitment is way less intense from what I’ve seen.
Here is a quick solution to your problem…go back to retail.

Yeh don’t think this is a thing in retail anymore except maybe for guilds pushing mythic raids.
I know people hate on personnel loot a fair amount - but it has eliminated a ton of loot drama. Most guilds don’t mind giving people tryouts as a result.

You kinda answered your own question. Classic bosses are a joke, you dont meed to clear coms for raid calls making the entire raid just a large social gathering. Why would you want someone the group as a whole doesn’t enjoy hanging out with?
The raids are more of a social gathering rather than progressing content. Only a few bosses really need callout.
and on top of that, most people who play this game are busy, they want to clear the raid in the night they set aside for it and don’t want to return to clear the last 3 bosses. Most of the people in my guild are 25+ or older, and have careers and families, its hard to get everyone back online the next day at the same time.
Even then you can pretty much get into any guild. Find one with a loot system you like that needs your class and you have a spot. Just show up prepared and on time and likely no one will complain.
This was the first time I raided in classic as I was aa 24/7 pvp’r
A random Guild asked me if i would help with chromag and they would take me to MC for free loots. So I said okay sure.
They asked me if I knew the fights to which I replied no. He then said you have tranq shot? I said yep because I had ran MC a few times in pugs.
Jumped into raid got summons once inside bwl. Straight to Chromag. Tranq strafe avoid fire, Loots. I didn’t even join discord, I googled and read about the fight while in flight.
If hunters weren’t so trash in pvp due to leeway and the atrocious spell batching I would be playing classic more. Maybe they will get TBC right.
It’s funny you would say that. One of the things that I found amusing about Classic is how differently people thought about guilds. Back in the day there was always some kind of application and interview process for serious raiding guilds. Everyone took everything super serious.
In my experience, all that stuff is gone now. The whole interview and application seems pretty silly to most people at this point. I feel like you are having some bad luck in your search for a guild, I think the vast majority have abandoned such silliness at this point in gaming history.

You mean you can’t find a “hardcore” raiding guild without an interview process? Well that would make sense, I guess.
If you went to /2 and spammed for a guild, I’m sure you’d find one quickly.
no, just any guild that respond to my world chat spam about looking for guild
If you want to be part of a team, you have to be… part of a team. If you refuse to talk to one person to get an invite, that’s gonna be off-putting to pretty much everyone. It is what it is in this case.
Here’s the thing though - in retail I’ve had a hard time finding a guild that I’ve actually liked (despite having similar goals game-wise) ever since cataclysm did an upheaval on guilds. Like it’s been literal years since I’ve made a lasting friendship in retail. All LK or before. No one ever wants to do anything outside of raid, no one’s friendly, no one has anything interesting going on.
I had to do a discord interview for my current guild and yeah, I hated it like I hate every interview, but as I told the guy, I was stunned because I hadn’t done a formal interview for a guild in 10 years.
Anyway I’m an officer now and lord help you if you cross my druid babbies. lmao
