This is simply not sustainable. 25g firewater and 300g lotus is not sustainable. It’s too expensive and/or time consuming to farm.
If a server has 5 layers of players at peak time, and at night it goes down to 2 layers, then the amount of resources are restricted dramatically and every layer is permanently maxed out with people farming the best spots.
You have to increase the amount of layers dramatically, increase spawns, or do something. People are burning out fast and quitting is going to skyrocket if this doesn’t change soon.

but their burnout will cause them to quit, lowering demand. Problem fixes itself.

unfortunately no. People quit → less layers → also less supply. It’s why blizzard should just make fixed amount of layer (6-8) and never shut them down even on night. Layers now = servers in 2005. Their amount should be fixed and never change

So the obvious fix is the wow token to be introduce… RIGHT…

I am quoting Blizzard’s logic of adding the token back during Wrath. People are going to buy gold, the only solution according to them is for them to sell gold via the token.

this is the converstaions ive been saying we need to have for a while now.
there is no off peak hours for the server, its constantly full due to the way layering works,
and youre right. im getting burned out having to spend so many hours that it could equate to a second part time job JUST to farm.
just sucks the fun out of the game. i want to play the game and have fun. i dont mind farming, or putting in hours, but i shouldnt have to put in 20-30 hours per week mindlessly farming. ive been logging in less and less and putting more hours in on other games just to break the monotony, which i dread knowing what is coming ahead for me each and every time i log in.

this was predicted. even if you were to “fix” black lotus, people would still complain about other consumables like firewater 
also 300g lotus? i thought it was 500g? looks like the problem is fixing itself
off peak hours are for non-mega realms you can’t have your cake and eat it too

there are other resources being affected besides black lotus.

If you don’t have a level 60 mage to farm dungeons or found a little niche I’m not sure how you can afford anything.
