People are giving up on M+ over 11

I’ve only done an 11 so far, but when I get to 12s I’m curious how I’ll feel regarding losing the buffs, but also not having to devote any global cooldowns nor mental focus to affixes. If that is a net buff or nerf for me.

Like yesterday in a +10 Mists (yes, easy key) the affix add spawned during the first boss right as we killed the tree, so everyone has to devote 3-4 globals to the affix add that wasn’t going to boss in his burn phase. I’m not sure the buff would make up for those lost 4-5 seconds.

Honestly, I don’t even notice the buffs being gone. Yes everything hits harder, but it just feels like key scaling to me. People’s attentions don’t need to be diverted to do the affix so they can focus 100% on the trash/boss mechanics.

Oh it definitely doesn’t.

Sure but at the same time you are no longer getting the buffs that the affix gives you, which more than makes up for the few GCDs you lose to dealing with it. The only time it’s harder is when the affix overlaps with boss mechanics and wipes you.

I honestly don’t think the buffs are that worth it and the amount of times they spawn during the short burn phase windows during bosses makes it more of a hassle than a benefit.

Sure, but only 2 key levels past the reward cap? The affixes should’ve stopped after 10.

I’ve given up on M+ of 2. It’s just not fun this season. Too much going on.

On top of not being fun at all… the break points for top tier crests and myth vault pulls make enduring the pain not worth it either. ive said it everywhere and ill continue saying it…go back to DF S2/S3 break points for crests/myth vault pulls to soften the progression curve. it was great for dragonflight, its fine for TWW. S2 wont be any better at this rate

Watched a video by a wow creator saying that less than 3% of the WoW M+ population does keys over +12. Why should we do keys over a 10 when there is no reward other than your IO score going up a few points?

You shouldn’t

this is my point. if they want players to pursue that level then they need to provide incentive.

return break points for top tier crests to DF S2/S3 levels. that smooths out the gear progression curve into 10 to 12s where you need those ilvls the most to deal with fort and tyrannical together.

At 2500 IO you get an item that adds some visual effect to the current tiers set (which most people transmog out of anyway since most of the new sets look horrendous) but thats something for 2500 even if it needs improvement.

add a myth tier set token for 3K IO. that would see more players going after those key levels to get to 3K and let mythic items drop from those higher keys. you want a base increase in folks nailing keys at say…+14 and beyond? let the players pull the highest tier gear straight out of the dungeon for getting there. why not… if you are regularly timing keys that high you earned it in my opinion.

from 3k blizz could add additional achievement awards for mounts, visual additions to set, titles, whatever they wanted to keep players engaged, but they dont. they stop at 2500 and make the gear curve super steep for the casuals that are stuck with a pug scene made even more toxic due to the steep gear progression curve. it makes no sense until you realize its highly likely that current blizz has run off almost everyone with any tenure in the company and the institutional memory that learned from these mistakes are just gone.

So being rewarded for something, makes it not worth it? You don’t make sense.

If getting gilded crests and mythic track from the mythic+ end game pillar is too hard this season people can get get them from raiding instead.

A quick 8/8 mythic raid pug can almost crest cap you for the week.

Also nice name.

Im finding trying to get a 10 even done for vault impossible. Let alone get a competent group to time them… Im likely just gonna give up at this point. If 10s are the only way to get mythic track but i need gear but can’t get gear because i cant do 10s to fill vault. Ive hit a wall and it feels worse than the previous mythic plus from before…

Run 8s with stupidly overqualified people to multichest for a 10 key, then list your 10 key and take your time inviting people.

I find only inviting people who have timed 10+ runs of the key level I’m shooting for, and always having 2 brezs in the group to generally be a pretty solid formula.

Why do you need said gear?

Because we are trying to clear mythic raid and this in an mmo.

Why do you want to make money? Why do you go to a gym? Asking why someone wants better gear is pretty pointless in an mmo where power is the point.

People trying to clear mythic raids have been doing 10s from week 1 or 2.

I tried that in the 10 ara. Was just a mess. Ill just have to keep trying… Did what you said its just they seem to still be a roll of the dice.

Ill get there eventually Im sure. Most seem to have tuned out of keys at this point.

Okay? Other than being out of power for a week after a hurricane at the start of the season and 16h work weeks Im doing the best I can with getting into groups. Just see more declined than not.

Ive had to reroll and change guilds due to schedule changes. Wish I could be so fortunate to be one of those but i dont have any friends that play. Been stuck pugging for the last three expansions like this and im just saying it feels harder to do so than it was.

Not sure why you feel the need to be belittling. We dont all have the same experience in wow.

You’re not going to clear mythic raid.

Edit: And you haven’t, not a single CE to your name.
