Im am pretty sure they removed the ability to item restore marks of honor back in early vanilla classic.

But also. If someone wants to put in 1000 hours of work to get ahead for a day, honestly idc. Farming that many marks is insane

Do you know what an exploit is? Marks are meant to be turned in for honor/rep/exp, so turning them in for experience isn’t an exploit. An exploit would be finding a way of repeating a quest that isn’t repeatable.

it’s likely fixed already lol. if it worked, we’d be getting crazy gold from turning in marks right now due to the exp - gold conversion at level cap.

OR that quest doesn’t follow the same rule of xp conversion into gold because it would be highly abusable by bots and players alike.

In classic wow I did wsg from 42 to something like 46 or 48. I did A LOT of pvp, this was back when arcane explosion had a cast time of 1.5 seconds so pre 1.11.1 or w.e.

The turn ins ALWAYS gave exp. The gold thing was added later and blizzard never wrote in goats blood that every single teeny tiny quest would follow that change, especially repeatable ones.

I added it up out of curiosity, and even if it worked, turning in 1,020 marks (50 stacks + one stack available) at 1,200 xp per turnin would level you from 25 to halfway through 34.

It would be faster than actually leveling, but still take a while to turn all that in.

this is normally how quests work but not this one, this quest gives 1200 xp at level 25 on repeat turn ins, i tested it on classic era ptr to make sure

Let em do the exploit then revert the XP gain and ban em for a week or two so they’re behind IMO

There isn’t a PTR for SoD.

It doesn’t reward gold at level 25 in SoD. That means no xp.

It’s mail restore. And you can get every single mark that expired in the mail back. Thousands.

It’s not insane. It’s slightly less than what it takes to go from neutral to exalted in wsg. Which is like two weeks of play even just pugging. Premades will be much much faster. This is an exploit and should be fixed. Perhaps it doesn’t matter to people on pve servers, but on pvp servers, that just means hour 1 level 40s farming level 26s all day. Not going to work. Fix the exploit.
