DRAGONFLIGHT IS ALMOST HERE!

Welcome to all players trying World of Warcraft for the first time, those returning to check out the new expansion, and those looking for a fresh start on a new server with a character transfer or new alt.

If you are looking for a welcoming guild where you can leave real life at the door and find people to play with, there are lots of replies here to help you learn more about being part of Pénsive (for the Alliance!) or Pensive (for the Horde!), or both :grin:. We share the same Discord and with new cross-faction options we can have even more fun together.

As I wrote on another occasion, it’s always important to keep in mind that a gaming guild is only as good as its members.

Pensive relies on its members for leadership, creativity, enthusiasm, participation, and atmosphere. It’s great to see what any guild has to offer, but for any healthy guild it’s never just a one-way street. That doesn’t mean members have some minimum number of activities they are expected to join per month. Rather, it means we all get out of the guild what we collectively put into it.

Previously I mentioned some examples of what that might look like, such as starting or joining new groups for M+ or raids if others are full, sharing pet photos, and having a trivia contest in guild chat. Those weren’t hypothetical, they are things guild members have done in the past along with guild rides across Azeroth, a game of darts where you toss your character from a building to see who gets closest to the target, and more.

No guild can be everything to everyone. To see if this dual-faction guild is right for you ask questions in this thread, or better yet submit an application for first-hand experience. This is a great time to join as people are trying new characters and roles, starting or restarting event groups, and getting ready to set sail to the Dragon Isles.

I’ve been with Pénsive coming up on two years now and I can honestly say it’s one of the best guilds out there. I’ve recently joined the leadership side of things and the folks who run these guilds are some of the most dedicated, hard working yet fun loving people you’re going to care to meet. In the past there have been people who kamikaze through this thread and say that this is a toxic guild, that the GM is a horrible person, that drama is awash in every corner but I’ve never seen that, ever. What I’ve seen is people who are striving to make this guild safe and fun for everyone who wants to thrive in that kind of environment.

No, you aren’t allowed to swear in gchat or Discord. No, you aren’t allowed to be a toxic butthead, or a leech, or in general behave like a jerk. If you want to swear and tell off-colour jokes or be racist/homophobic/misogynistic/find yourself saying “it’s just a joke!” a lot, or what have you then this isn’t the guild for you and that’s okay. Not everyone is going to want to be in a guild with rules like this one has. At the end of the day the people who run these two guilds work hard to make these places a sanctuary where people don’t have to worry about real life because, let’s be real, we want to escape to Azeroth for a while and live our other lives. That’s why people play games like this; to have fun and role play another existence, and it takes a lot of work in the background to make that happen. To quote the vernacular, “When you do things right, people won’t be sure you’ve done anything at all.” and that’s what happens behind the scenes in Pénsive and Pensive. Tireless, often thankless work behind the scenes to make sure people can have fun and I cannot say thank you enough to Briar and the leadership team for that, especially after having gotten a glimpse under the hood.

I guess I say all that to say, if you’re looking for a guild where people chat with each other, where activities happen often (raids both serious and casual, guild events just for fun, tmog contests, etc.), where you will included, then give us a try. Maybe you’ll fall in love with it, maybe it’s not for you, either way is cool. It’s not for everyone. I will say this guild has consistently had over 900 members and (when it’s not end of xpac drought) there’s often 20-40 people on at a time being active and interactive so it’s obviously doing something right.

Hello! I read the post and all the positive comments and was wondering if you’d take fresh characters? I don’t have a character on Dalaran. Tomorrow I’d be able to transfer one of mine over there but it’s been a while since I’ve leveled through the game. Last time I really did anything was pretty much at the beginning of shadowlands :sweat_smile:

I appreciate the community standards that Pensive has built and maintained over the years. I searched for a guild home that is inclusive, non-toxic and discrimination free and found a comfortable fit straight away after joining Pensive! Members here are friendly, helpful, active, and have a broad range of play styles. We have an active discord and regular guild events too! Are you looking for something to do in between Dragonflight Season 1 and season 2? Come join a very active guild with a strong cross faction presence! We have a few raid teams and active M+ players, but what really sets us apart is our active community. There are always people doing achievements, xmog and older content. Seriously though, this is a great guild if you enjoy any aspect of the game (collecting, PvP, raiding, PvE, just hanging around and chatting) and know how to treat people like people. Come apply to Pensive and get involved with some wonderful people for a lovely time.

Been in this guild since late BFA. Always have had a good time with all the good people. If you are wanting a place to spend time, have fun, good conversations and have an all around good time. Pensive is the best place! Multiple raid teams, mythic + teams and many more. If you are needing a place to call home, Pensive is a great place to make it. Never know it may become home to you like it has been to a lot of us.

If your looking for an easy going, friendly and non toxic guild look no further as we are it :slight_smile: A large guild with lots of fun, respect towards others, no bullying, no politics or RL complaining. Join us for fun events, mythics, raids etc. Not a raider we have lots of big time collectors for mounts, pets, tmogs, anything you want to collect there is someone in the guild who collects too and will give a hand. Our Discord is full of tons of info and well organized to find any info you are looking for :slight_smile: We have great leaders too. We are now Alliance & Horde in the Ally side guild which has been great a enjoyment for everyone as a big happy family.
