Penalties For Killing Lowbies

Just think, before BFA, he would be getting camped WITHOUT that option, and it would STILL be his choice and his fault.

They pay to play this game too, and PART of this game is the ability to kill ANYONE in warmode. World PVP has never been fair, and it WILL never be fair.

Frankly i think he should be punished for turning on warmode and then complaining about being ganked. He should lose the ability to turn warmode on ever again because of this forum post.

You sure went from EVERYONE to more players than it hurts REAL quick. Honestly i’d say the number of gankers out there vastly outnumber the amount of people who turn on warmode then whine about being ganked.

As someone who’s been in physical therapy for a month now after some drunk woman slammed into me at 10:30 AM on a Saturday, where can i sign up for the sober roads?

No. You can rez at the spirit healer, and hearth. The cost is a joke with how much quests reward now. It will also allow you those few minutes to rethink the idea of warmode.

Warmode wouldn’t be any different than PvP servers without the 25% xp boost, other than having a toggle option. People know low levels will be using it to level alts and make much more of an effort to do it now; some zones are constantly littered with bodies for days due to groups spam killing.

They didn’t change it in 2004 on pvp servers when the solution was to move to a pve server, they won’t change it now. Make life easier on yourself and turn it off. This is such a ridiculous complaint. Solve your own problem.

No…you really don’t like warmode.
It’s wpvp…and not meant to be ‘fair’.
If you want to only deal with people your level that is what Battlegrounds and Arena is for.

wont happen enough to be worth it while leveling. just turn it off

I think the OP is gone. He doesn’t like warmode on the forums either.

I think the question we should be asking is what kind of sad pathetic person would actually camp lowbies for hours? There has got to be something wrong with that person.

Well, I don’t understand why anyone would put up with it. Back when I was on a PvP server, someone would get one kill on my alt, maybe two, then I would log off and log on another.

I would never give them the satisfaction. To keep coming back for more is… dumb.

There wasn’t a 125% xp boost then.

So? People gank back then and they gank now. Does not change the way I operate.

And nobody cares if you’re getting ganked by people 1000x your level.

You turned on Warmode, you signed for it.

What exactly are you expecting? Some random GM popped out of the blue everytime a higher level dude gank a lower level one?

There are none.

-If you want to take their HK, they don’t care about HK.

-Lets say you want to destroy their gear for ganking low level (which is absurd), they’ll just going to gank you with their naked level 120 toon.

-Lets say you want to make them hostile to every cities, its still the same, every people would just have 1 toon for ganking.

-Lets say you want to delete their account if they kill low level, I’ll just put my low level toon around high level dude doing AOE farming, and I can remove his account.

Yep. it works both ways. I’m not sure I understand the person, like the OP, who won’t just turn WM off. He’d rather get camped. He must be a glutton for punishment.

One of the more enjoyable things I loved doing was coming to lowbies defense. People who think the lowbies are always the victims and the higher levels killing and camping them are ‘lowlifes’ cannot have really experienced pvp servers.
I see ‘Crossroads is under attack’ and I’m going to come to the rescue even if the alliance players are lowbies to me. Doesn’t matter if they’re attacking and ganking my fellow hordies and they’re lower level than I am…I’m going to kill them…

Funny enough, despite having war mode on for several of my toons, I’ve yet to get ganked.

Probably because I dungeon queue a lot.

I turn war mode off after hitting 110.

No there doesn’t

you don’t get to define the rules of warmode.

I was on a level 22 mage - and they were a level 120 druid. Your comparison means nothing here. I am ilvl 472 on this character and am not easily pushed around - even by 1-3 alliance players at the same time if they are not as geared as I am. This is irrelevant has nothing to do with the post.

None of you are reading the actual OP from what I can see.

I don’t care about alliance raids dropping on my 120s heads and slaughtering me during Uldum Invasion - stuff happens - it’s part of the game - war is war.

THIS is a feature of the game.

What I care about is that there is nothing done about griefers.

You can’t tell me this is PvP - it’s not PvP - it has harassing someone trying to play the game and using a feature, that the developer chose to allow level 20 players to use.

When you are a max level toon camping a person who is 100 levels below you for hours on end - you are a problem - you are a bully - you are a tool - and the behavior should not be condoned.

What is going on here is that they are gleaning enjoyment from their actions by killing someone to be a .

There is no incentive
There is no reward
It is purely for malicious enjoyment

Where as if you are on the receiving end - you are actively being punished for playing the game and using a feature the developers put into the game. There is no trade off here. If you choose to enter a battleground and you lose - you understand there was a trade off - the chance at winning for rewards.

You can’t change my mind.

Maybe because some of you are behind a screen on the internet - you choose to show how ambiguous your moral compass is - but I know where mine points.

Honestly sounds like a you problem OP.

Then leave it on.

This is not warmode, that is very clear. This is YOUR IDEA of what you want out of warmode.

Highly doubtful. Because the problem you are describing (higher levels camping you) is ABSOLUTELY NO DIFFERENT then a group of toons at your level camping you…the outcome is EXACTLY THE SAME.

There is, people turn off warmode and quest in peace until level cap and then decide if they want to turn warmode on or off. The penalty being that campers won’t get targets to kill if people turn off warmode at low level.

You realize something like this is easily gamed to troll others. Bring a low level friend with you and bait someone and suddenly that individual who didn’t want to hit low level people just blew them up and getting a debuff for 30 mins.

Honestly the easy idea is turn off Warmode as Gatecrash said.

I don’t necessarily disagree, however, many of the more recent PVP Camping of lowbies that I have heard of have started because their ‘much higher level’ was camping the lowbies around them… isn’t that where “don’t make me get my main” came into play

PS I am pretty sure if you try to ‘regulate’ PVP it defeats the purpose of PVP

And you’re not going to change a 16-year old feature, or whatever you want to call it. Ganking is part of WoW PvP life.
