Just go ahead and remove the book. It’s only a reminder of how AV was intended and how good it was or could’ve been. Keep in mind players back then didn’t really know the game yet and Blizzard’s excuse is they’re too afraid to release any version besides 1.12.

HEY BLIZZARD! PEOPLE ARE 1000 TIMES BETTER than they used to be. We will figure out a way to conquer towers with hard hitting archers. We WILL ORGANICALLY figure out strats to overcome AV!

Right now Horde is just farming Lts and Commanders since Alliance have a pretty much strait shot to Drek’thar. Horde gets honor and Allies get the win.

Everyone knows this is not the vanilla experience and definitely NOT what players wanted. Classic came to be because of the outcry that players DON’T want watered down WoW anymore.

Give us what we wanted Blizzard. As a long time pre-order customer for the next expansion for wow NOW I have no desire for the next expansion because I still see no real changes for actual content/player dynamic changes to keep the players truly interested in the game

I can’t help but wonder if Blizzard ever read this book. They definitely didn’t write it. It has no relevance what so ever with how alterac valley is played in this version (and that’s the problem). Yes, they should have just removed it. The new book should say, “P1, ride past everything to the last graveyard. P2, kill the enemy general. P3, ignore everything else.”

This is how Blizzard’s garbage modern AV is played, and exactly what we didn’t want when we came back for classic. We didn’t want shallow 5m assembly line production matches. We wanted matches that lasted a long time, used up all the NPC summons, and actually felt like a victory in the end.
