I know random bgs are like cancer. But it just sucks when you peel for healers who just leave you to die.

I mean, dps tends to do this to heals all the time. Leaving them to die by themselves that is, not peeling lol

I understand that completely. But it does suck when you try to help them and they leave you anyway.

Bad healers exist just like bad DPS exist. Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still try to protect them.

If I stopped healing each time there wasn’t a peel, was the only one attacking a healer or I did more damage than the actual DPS, I’d never heal again.

it’s an exchange, give peels, get heals. no heals means no peels.

Just identify which healers are losing health on our team and go help them out some is all they are asking.

The case may be that they felt their time was better spent elsewhere rather than a roadside 2v2 for bragging rights. I’m not assuming the exact circumstances of your experience- just using an example.

A good healer considers the greater good over courtesy. Sometimes, they gotta let one go to keep others in the fight.

In WSG and Twin Peaks healers have to leave people behind often. Trying to keep up with and heal the FC is difficult while being stunned and slowed. If you sacrifice yourself so that your healer can catch up to the FC then you made the right move. The healer running away from you is just running to catch up to the FC.

This is such a key phrase. It is difficult to understate just how often healers are walking at 50% movement speed in a battleground. It’s pretty much any time we’re in combat, and it’s extremely frustrating.

This I have no problem dying to achieve. So long as the objective is met and kept, I’ve gladly done my part.

It grinds my gears when healers just piddle fart around and just goof off some times.

If I’m the only healer then I’m going with the flag carrier. If there are multiple healers I try and coordinate. Have 1 with offense and one with Defense. If it’s AB or the like then I’m staying with objectives. Healing around the base. I try to not get caught up in a road fight since it’s pointless.

You mean peel for anyone who leaves you to die especially healers but as the rule of thumbs goes fool me once shame on you but you won’t get a second opportunity to trick me again. I will plant the flag of ownership in their bloody corpse before the enemy can and laugh while I do it.

…this is where tunnelvision flag carriers need to learn to sometimes WAIT or STICK WITH the healer.

Hell, half the time that is how I “help kill” FCers. I just go to town on the healer. Usually I slow / stun / CC them enough to where the FC party just runs off and it is just me and a healer fighting alone. While I do not kill the healer…the healer is no where near their FCers, thus not healing them, allowing my time to take out the FCer much easier.

Love watching the healer get CCed up only to see his druid / monk carriers shift / shoot off into the distance.

We appreciate your peels!

Some players will be bad, dps or heals, it sucks. That being said there may have been reason to ditch you!

Also as a mage sometimes there is nothing wrong with dying if you’re holding up 2-4 people on the road somewhere… Frost Nova, sheep’s, time warp, ice block. Lots of ways to stall a long time while they tunnel vision you and your team captures a node!

idk, but once I started peeling for our healz on a regular basis, I honestly never really had to worry about getting healed again. Us frosties are protectors of the backfield to be sure. And so it goes … :slight_smile:

DPS kicked me out of a losing team (Me being top healer of 450k midfight) because I told them to peel for me.

Bare in mind, DPS was doing no DMG at all and were carried by my heals all game.

And I get kicked out for giving criticism.
