Shalecrab event is going, and the NPC hands you a stick, but then nothing happens when you use it. Event is stuck.

Are you only trying to use it on the one next to the NPC which gave you the stick? If so, you are doing the puzzle incorrectly and it is not a bug. If you are using said stick on the various other crabs around and still nothing, then that’s another story. Coordinates can be found on WoWHead.
I’ve tried over 4 area the crabs are, when I use the branch the crab shows for a split second and disappears and you can’t click it
