Peacock mount getting nerfed isn't fair

It’s clearly the bis mount and putting on the list of no skyriding mounts is a clear nerf to the clearly bis mount. But I get it though, you probably thought it was necessary. It’s clearly the most beautiful mount in the game and if it could skyride, no one would pick anything else.

Where is this list?

Cheers. Certainly seems like a lot of those are just “can’t skyride… yet.” I mean that list includes the gladiator’s slitherdrake. It’s a dragonriding mount!

If I can’t barrel roll and zoom through the sky on my spirit otter I am going to be very unhappy :smiling_face_with_tear: I know they’ll probably add it in but if they don’t…

So rocket mounts will have dragonriding?

Wait. Why wouldn’t the peacock be able to skyride if the birdies from ZM or the prepatch store mount or the DF birdy mounts can? They all share the same model.

Weird that the DF gladiator mounts are on that list considering they can dragonride right now if you use the skins for the existing dragonriding mounts instead of the standalone mount, since you get both for gladiator. Maybe some of the others on the list will change too.

Hoping some of the small ones like the flying discs stay non skyriding, then they would be easy ones to have on my right action bar for quick jaunts, without having to do the 5 seconds switch up every single time. I was really curious what the Amalgam of Rage was going to look like skyriding, guess I won’t find out anytime soon, lol.

I was looking forward to skyriding on this :man_facepalming:

Nerfing means to take away something that was there before.

The peacock mount will continue to have the same type and speed of flying as always therefore it is not being nerfed.

I agree it is beautiful but Ashes of Al’ar is the most beautiful mount in the game  .

I still remain quite upset that my favorite mount isn’t able to Dragonride. :sob: They’re forcing us to only Dragonride until we finish the story, the least they could do is let me use my peacock!

Wondrous Wavewhisker will have dragonriding? !?

Hopefully the list isn’t set in stone yet and they will get to it eventually. It is an impressive mount and I’d certainly like to use it with dynamic flying (or is it called sky riding now?)

Meanwhile I’m chilling here thinking “thank god there are decent mounts I don’t have to channel a 5 second spell to switch from sky riding”

I assume this must be a bit of an oversight, since the peafowl has dragonriding animations in the model viewer on wowhead. I really hope it doesn’t go live this way as it’s one of my favorite mounts.

The water bunny isn’t on that list and that pleases me.

I don’t care about a stupid peacock but I am miffed that it seems like pterodactyls don’t have DR yet. That was going to be all my trolls flying mounts.

But I don’t see the MoP version of the pterodactyls so maybe I’ll just use those.

Don’t see my Netherlord mounts on the list, which means that Horses are going to keep flying. At this rate, just make all mounts fly like FF14. Who cares if you see a Yak flying through the air, we’re in a land of magic, steam punk, space sci-fi, and many other genre’s jammed together. Let us have a chance to use mounts we like but are just ground restricted. I have over 400 Mounts, and nearly 3/4 of them I won’t use cause they are land locked. This is the time and place to start that turn over.

If they leave at least 1 flying mount that can’t skyride, you can put it on your bar and swap between that and your default sky riding mounts without ever having to swap.

I have a feeling they will eventually allow all flying mounts to skyride, however.
