PC's with older AMD processors: Player skins and eyes not loading (Update: Hotfixed on PTR)

I’ve repeatedly reported this bug in the PTR and on the forums and live was implemented with it.

Player skins, eyes, and hair are not loading.

PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE!

Update: Hotfixed on PTR as of 10/15, should go live soon.

The same thing is happening here. a lot of people are saying its a texture/shader issue. I’ve updated my drivers, did scan and repairs, and have uninstalled the ptr and beta to re download them again. I hoped that it wouldn’t have carried over from the ptr & beta but it has… blizz needs to fix this

I’m also having this issue on live. I’m really disappointed because I’ve been looking forward to these new customizations since they were announced

Running into the same issue. Seems to have carried over from the PTR.

Where are people talking about this beside this thread? I’d like to keep updated on this issue on all possible channels.

There were several threads on the PTR forums that people have been posting in for two or more months

Same issue. Tried running scan & repair, which did not resolve the issue. The game seems to run fine otherwise, just characters and NPCs are missing important textures.

Same issue since PTR started, sad that it went live.

Same issue. I have a GeForce GTX 970, and my drivers are up to date. I saw the forum posts about this in PTR, I’m really furious they went live with this issue. I can play the game, but I can’t make a new character or modify mine because huge chunks of him are just black void.

What processor are you all using? AMD Phenom II X6 1055T here. Two other people mentioned using a similar one.

I’m not sure how the processor could be causing graphical issues like this, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned about computers it’s that problems happen for the weirdest reasons.

Processor is AMD Phenom II 965; graphics is Radeon RX 570 series.

I’ve tried resetting the in-game graphics to their default and rebooting my machine, to no avail, so I suppose the next step is attempting a reinstall to see if that fixes it. The game itself is technically playable–I didn’t notice any issues loading into the world other than missing character textures, however, I also did not spend very much time poking around either given that having important textures missing kinda kills the mood. I do recall that the same textures were missing when I logged into the PTR weeks ago, though the missing textures there were white instead of black. At the time I thought it was just a hiccup typical of works-in-progress, but it’s sad to see that it’s a bug that made it to launch.

AMD Phenom II X4 965

I’m not building a new computer. It’s still a 32 bit game, no reason to break the graphics like they did.
