Later this week I’ll be getting a nice gaming laptop delivered (Zephyrus G15 5900HS/RTX 3080), with the intention of it being a dedicated gaming machine. Have had a reasonably gaming-capable daily driver for a while, but because it’s my work machine I realized I never rebooted it into Windows for games because that disrupts that machine’s workspace. As a result I’ve stuck to WoW and basically missed out on the entirety of PC gaming for the past decade. I hope to change that with this laptop.
With that in mind, what would you all say are your must-play PC titles from around 2010 up through 2021? Just about any genre works, but I will say that I’m not fond of non-Warcraft RTS.
At minimum, I’ll be playing through at least Witcher III. Have my eyes on the Mass Effect remasters as well (although I got a good look at the originals from watching a friend play them).

Oh, those rhythm games at high difficulty will kill your hands (and keyboard). I advise you to get a low profile fast keyboard like Corsair K70 Mk.2 Low Profile MX Speed for it.

is free to play and some of the class stories are amazing and really fun. It’s a dated game but you have nothing to lose but your time. which is worthless anyway, right?
. Story is only so so but the RPG character building and stat optimization part of this game is pretty good. RNG can be frustrating.
: OK games. you can waste a lot of time doing meaningless stuff. PVP is really frustrating. Greedy devs put a TON of stuff in the cash shop and you have nearly 0 hope of getting the items from gameplay. Every “expansion” is the same thing on a different planet. pretty monotinous game tbh. However playing with friends can be a blast.
Don’t even bother if you don’t have another lifetime to sink into it. Some storylines are really good tho. much more depth than WoW. You might like it but there was just too much game for me.
Embarassing. even for a AA title. This game is a complete and unmitigated disaster in almost every way except for the basic concept. Avoid it.
Very repetitive, intimidatingly large grind. weird controls. but dam if this game isn’t a constant adrenaline rush. It comes at you fast and DOES NOT QUIT. Coffee/energy drinks required. fast and twitchy. I’m too old to play this type of game anymore LOL
Not to necro a week old thread, but i’m currently playing Assassin’s Creed 2.
I recommend 2, Brotherhood and Revelations. They are very great games and still are. 
I second that; I enjoyed the Ezio trilogy.
