Payment options

Blizzard should get with the times and accept more payment options. Cashapp, usdc, dai, etc.

Credit cards are lame. They require fees every year just to have them, customers can do chargeback fraud, they are vulnerable to theft, and their “security” with manually entering card numbers and cvc code sucks. >.<

Oh, and they are not secure. >:[

There are plenty of cards that dont have annual fees.

No, blizzard will not accept your food stamps or welfare check(well maybe this one) to pay for the game.

I agree creditcards are duck. I don’t have one. I use paypal and I can have a recurring sub just fine. Paypal allows for various ways to add money onto it, as well.

I see no reason not to have more payment options (the more the merrier I suppose).

I am surprised by the dislike for credit cards, though…maybe I am clueless but what I have always done is use a credit card for almost all my purchases, and I pay it off in full (treat it like cash) every month so I never carry a balance and never pay interest. My card does not have fees and it gives me cash-back as a small percentage (like 3%) on most things I buy, so in a sense I can buy $1 for $0.97, which is kind of like making a 3% “return” for doing nothing other than using the card. My credit score is like through the roof (800+) because I’ve never been late on any payments, since I’ve never actually had any debt payments…

Maybe I am missing something, though… But if this sounds good to you, maybe you could look into other credit card options in the meantime before Blizzard adds more options for payment, and maybe something good is there.

Debit cards have no fees.

Fees, that’s why, handling cards is already one set of fees, paypal has fees too, it all depends on how high the fee is.

Small companies pass the fee on to the buyer (they’ll tell you about, 3% extra on card purchases, etc), but blizzard doesn’t, so they are careful about which ones they use.

It’s why many companies don’t accept Amex, they have the highest fee.

Oh, that makes a lot of sense.

I can get behind this.

You’re a smart user, but the target audience of CCs is those who are not smart. Those who will get themselves bankrupt.

Creditcards are hardly used in Europe. Only if you want to travel outside of the EU, but even then, it’s a last resort. America is just… backwards on many things.

I use PayPal.

Amex is ridiculous, it’s like double the other cards lol.

My debit card actually has more fees and restrictions than my credit cards.

that’s a bad debit card O.o

Mine does not. Maybe you should shop around for a better bank?

Yea never use a debit card, use a credit card because its the banks/organizations money at that point. Easier for them to get your money back.

we only use debit cards, we’d rather know the money is already coming out vs. remembering to pay.

I use my debit card, no fees. My bank is Navy Federal Credit Union, I think they allow civilians to join now though, I forget :man_shrugging:

Oh dang, well to each his own. You have a good point that you don’t need to remember to pay.
