It’s exactly the same as canceling a subscription, except it will automatically resubscribe you after a certain period of time (big deal…). It doesn’t actually pause your subscription, just your payments. So don’t get lured into those subscriptions longer than six months for bonuses like I did. -_-

Thats a you problem. I had no problem pausing mypayments for a month from September until October, when I unpaused it.

You understand if you pause payment on a six month subscription and still have 3 months left you’ve already paid for those three months, right? All pausing the payment does is make it so you’re not billed when your subscription comes due; it doesn’t stop the time left on it.

of course. Why would I put myself in teh hole with a company for x months? Do you know if you will absolutely be able to play every month of that 6 month sub or 12 month sub? If not, why would you pay them in advance. Pay monthly. If the savings are the make or break for you, or anyone else, your priorites shouldbe checked because playing Wow shouldn’t be one of them.

Putting another feature that do the exact same thing as cancel subscription but with a different name is imo a way to lure people at thinking that they finally added a real pause for people having to leave for “X” amount time for “X” reason.
That’s why I’m warning others. I had never purchased such a long subscription before, but when I saw the new ‘Pause Subscription’ feature, I thought: FINALLY a feature that has been asked for a long time. I’m not saying it’s not my fault; I should have read the details more carefully. I agree with you, and that’s why I’ve always opted for a monthly subscription.
They’re not the same thing though. One starts your sub back up once the pause is done automatically. The other cancels the subscription permanently unless you setup a new sub.

Your right thats a huge difference that is worth to be added. Who wouldnt want to save the huge waste of time to add the payment info and chosing the subscription that fit their need at the end of the sub. Saving a lot of time to people so they dont have log into their blizz account to set a new subscription. Thanks for your input
